The Contemplation of a Heartless (open) Empty The Contemplation of a Heartless (open)

Post by Zeferoth Mon Jun 22, 2015 11:49 pm

The portal of darkness opened over a small destroyed building in Twilight Town. This was one of the worlds that he has never been to. Things were relatively calm here, so there were never really in contracts coming from this world. The first thing that Zeferoth noticed was the sky. It seemed that it was in a state of perpetual twilight. He found it pretty. He then looked to the destruction around him. The main street was in ruins and the nearby shops and builds were destroyed. He wondered what could have happened.

Zeferoth felt someone nearby and hid in one of the few ally ways still standing. He hid on a dark corner hoping that his glowing yellow eyes would not give him away in the darkness. He huddled into the dark corner like a scared child would pulling out a pocket watch from his pocket. It was made of pure silver about half the size of a normal man's palm. He held it gently in his clawed hands opening it. He was not checking the time, but just examining it all over thinking. Who am I, it thought. Why was I truly created?

A different portal of darkness appeared a few minutes after the first one had touched landed on this cursed realm of searing radiance. One that housed the lord of darkness and stunning figure of an overwhelming charming man, walking out he stood across from the destruction at hand first witnessing the madness before his very eyes and examining it further with carefully intent. It seemed a great force had knocked forces, the abundances of water around the wreckage smelled of powerfully sorcery. Kneeling down Lenny touched the substances first hand, sensing its leftover mana rubbing against his skin, it be good to document whatever caused. Standing back up Len started to walk casually along the streets in favor of questioning this phenomena more while he had some time to kill, there was an awful lore more to this tale.

He strolled to this world appearing more so human then monster, his extra features as a heartless were masked in a simple white dress shirt with his selves rolled up and black leather pants and shoes tightly hugging his thighs and exceptional manhood, passing from some social gathering beforehand. There had been a whisper in the dark that lured the might La Vaeas away from his duties studying this realm, an air that command a great deal of among the heartless to arrive hear again. Nothing like mass genocide of Disney town but here he could feel it much more so, his kin were gathering in such number something was drawing them into this place and in one spot no less. It was a curious thing to feel them so intelligent coordinated? That seemed odd. Maybe another relic lay wasted to draw them like a school of sharks here again.

In fact he could question one right now, a struggling little heart of darkness seemed to dash behind the ally and attempted some allure within the shadows. Maybe it was a new born or something but it felt different and familiar to another Lenneth had met. He would slowly walk into the dark path, pushing away the smiley trash and foul rats before making his way into the corner to which the little heartless was located.  He could easily spot the humanoid form in any level of darkness, the yellow lit eyes gave enough away, holding something.

“Lost are we?” he spoke out loud to the boy stopping a good distance away

Twilight Town. A world that the young pseudo-heartless had been to one other time. But before, it had been a bustling metropolis. Now..it was the aftermath of a war zone. The scientist walked down the ruined cobblestone streets, walking over the rubble of several destroyed buildings, finding a hand of the clocktower's face embedded in one of the shops. Thankfully, nobody was impaled on it. However, as he was examining the clock hand, he heard the skittering of claws against cobblestone, and felt another dark presence. This one...slightly more feral. It piqued his curiosity.  After tapping the clock hand, sending it hurtling through a corridor of darkness ino his workshop, he walked towards the heart, removing his glasses to reveal the glow to his eyes. He was also a heartless. He turned into the alleyway, preparing to open his mouth...only to find the ruler of the realm of darkness standing before him, staring at the other creature. I would assume not, considering how overpowering your heart is. He stated simply, mentally berating himself for not sensing him earlier, especially considering how much truth was within what he had just said. The feeling of standing next to such a powerful being was awakening his hunger again. It was going to be a most interesting day, for sure.

The young heartless may be ignorant to the activities of the worlds and naive on top of that, but he was not a stupid creature. He sensed the powerful, dark presance before he saw it. He was immediately terrified. He never before faced something of this power. In fact he was sure that the other twelve put together would only prove an annoyance to the heartless standing before him. he quickly pocketed the watch and got into a crouched position. He was cornered for the most part though he could fly out of there if needed, but he doubted he would get far.

He also noticed another dark presance in the area nearby. Just how many of them were there? He asked himself nervously looking from one to the other though he kept his eyes on the stronger one more. "You can say that in a manner of speaking.' He replied hesitantly telepathically so both of them could hear him. "Who are you?" He asked looking from one heartless to the other. He did not like his odds. He shifted slightly ready to flee at the first sign of trouble.

Another had taken the lord’s notice as well though this one appeared as a much more refined and suited heartless to be in the form of a human, the other still was fairly primal still in his state. The human like guise of flesh hadn’t settled in from the looks of it and a little frightened or he was expressing an emotion Lennie had not recorded yet. Turning towards the more matured brother there he offered a simple nod with a raised hand.

“Aye seems I have to fortune to greet two new faces from the family tree we call shadows.  I don’t grace this blasted realm unless I’m working or something peaks my interest so you’ll have to forgive my prodigious presence.”

The other heartless then spoke and in a complete sentence no less, that was pleasantly surprising bring a sly grin to Len’s elegant face, the thought of re-training another dog to stand up.

“I am Darkness though the realm of light has granted me a different me the name, Lenneth, charmed I’m sure you both are. And has the light branded you two with names on your backs yet?”

When asked if the realm of light had branded him with a name yet, Rience chuckled and shook his head. As I prefer to hide in plain sight, I adopted the name of my original form. Rience Avalon, at your service. He said as he bowed to the prince of darkness. Normally, he would not be one for such semantics. But..in the presence of one as powerful as Lenneth, one needed to be careful. He seemed to be ignoring the voice in his head. At least, it would appear that way. In reality, he had been speaking to the other heartless the entire time.

It's alright, neither of us are here to hurt you. He thought, having already answered the second question he had been asked vocally. On the contrary, he continued I am simply here to observe the destruction of the town, and maybe take back some materials to create items with. He thought, explaining his purpose rather easily to the younger heartless. He had come to gather material upon hearing how this side of the town had been bombed and flooded. It made for a prime place to steal building materials, and maybe some magical materials as well. He was, at heart, a creator after all. He used his glass to create things, and now he used his mind to figure out ways to create weaponry. It was a simple task really. He would become better at it over time however.

Then the other one chimed in as well.

"As I prefer to hide in plain sight, I adopted the name of my original form. Rience Avalon, at your service." This heartless seemed to be also speak to him though the telepathic link that he uses.

"I was once called Omega by those that created me. They no longer draw breath, so I instead go by the name Zeferoth." He hesitated before continuing. "I...do not understand. Who am I really? What is my purpose?"

He graced the both of them with a simple jester of acknowledgement at their names as rare for it to have in this day and age. Most people seemed to just label them by their species but in truth each heartless had a name like any other child of the worlds. Rience though gain more favor for the dark king showing respect came from two roads of give and take but since Zeferoth seemed a little less developed he would excuse it for the time being.

A pleasure to meet you both for the time being. Tell me did both of you strike at this world and cause the devastation just behind us? My purpose here is simple one out of curiosity about what had transpired”

When the question was raised if they had done the destruction, Rience chuckled as he shook his head. From the looks of the remains, it looks like it was a controlled attack, and from the flooding, I would say that someone was hasty with either magic or some immense amount of hidden water. Much more than my magic could  manage. He stated with such bluntness that it was quite glaringly true. He had powerful magic in the form of space, but at his current level of power, he could not in any way do this scale of damage. Besides, I'm here to scavenge materials to use for future weaponry, nothing more, nothing less. He stated as his eyes swept up and down the alley, even now he was looking for workable material.

He was an inventor, tinkerer. But, he was also a heartless. That alone was what made him dangerous. He was a pureblood, and had all of their traits. It was always a nice edge to have against his opponents. For now however, his being a heartless was a bond, one that few shared. It was a strange concept, but it was one that intrigued him.

Zeferoth shook his head when the more Lenneth asked if he was responsible for the destruction. "I have caused my share of destruction, but it was not here. I do not know what has happened. I just got here a minute or two ago."

“Fair enough, I figured neither of you could do all these even together but had to make sure. More surprising things have happened though that would likely have the humans be chasing you down right now if you were the culprits. You may find a lot here Rience the humans don’t seem to see it fit to guard this place or its remains”

Turning from them now Lenny faced the former remains of the clock tower then taking one giant step forward as he leap over the distance in one try, he would then land gracefully on a higher elevation from the debris of one of its walls. There wasn’t much left standing but enough to have him in a good sight of the area below. Closing his eyes Lenny conjured his magics into play as they gentle left his body and shimmered out as an invisible force touching down on all around him space. They would move back to him offering the king of heartless with the knowledge he sought, flipping through it Lenny would read this place’s past at a quick peek, enough to tell him the recent past of the whole event and it was an interesting read with credit to the writers.

As he watched the graceful leap all the way up to the station plaza, Rience couldn't help but be impressed. It was a graceful movement, one that was as natural and fluid as any other he had seen. So that was the level of control one could reach. Interesting. The cobblestone was cracked as well. And where his feet touched it directly, there was nothing but dust. So he was strong, and he was very much in control of his body. That, along with his overwhelmingly strong air of sheer magical power, made this man an exceedingly intimidating man. One Rience was glad he was on the side of. Even if only by circumstance. As he finally was made certain that Lenneth was out of range of hearing or seeing them, Rience allowed his composure to drop for a moment, resting his upper body against a cracked wall, the thing groaning against his weight.

Fuck...there are things in this universe even I could not have guessed existed. He mumbled as he looked skywards. Even now, he could sense the hearts-or lack thereof-of his nobody and that of his older sister. They were off trying to keep people from wandering down into this section of the town so that Rience could continue his search for materials unhindered. So far, the only object of note was the minute hand of the clock tower. It was light, durable, and it held some form of latent magical ability. Whether that was from being surrounded by magic, or from the tragedy of this world, he had it. He was curious to see what his other two companions were going to do now.

Zeferoth watched in genuine amazement of the physical capabilities of the heartless king. Not even the thirteen cores could match that. Zeferoth looked to the one still beside him as he stood to his full height. He stood the at six feet tall and had the body structure of a slim young adult.

"What do you think of him?" He asked Reince turning his glowing eyes to face him still using his telepathic link. He turned his attention back to the mighty heartless above them both physically and in any other sense of the word. He took out his pocket watch gain looking at it intently. On the face of the silver watch was the name Jak written in gold writing Who was he, and why did the name sound failure?"

Time had shown Lenneth the events that had occurred only a short while ago and yet it still puzzled him, why did daruis act in such a manner and what powers of persuasion did his recent brother kin do to the boy? The last time that he and the fire starter meet in the castle of white there didn’t appear to be much of a sinister air floating around the former companion. Granted he was foul mouthed, abrasive and downright rude but nothing to merit his actions the grand scheme of this. Maybe the king had misjudged his darkness in their first encounter or his brother had grown much more familiar with the heritage of the dark.

Lenny ran through the entire scene again through his mind while concentrating, playing back and re-reading it as he saw them but they appeared to hold no other answers which he held. It seemed the past would be harder to find with its future to be brought out remaining unknown. But at least this would distract some of the humans away from the heartless when word of this spread to the worlds.

When he was asked what he judged of the prince of heartless, Rience had to stop himself from pushing up the glasses that were no longer on his face. He had several thoughts of the prince already. Even with as low an amount of magical prowess as his, he could tell that magic was most definitely his strong suit. But, from both his body and the cracks in the cobblestone, it was easy to see that his physical strength was nothing to sneer at either. From what he had seen, he gathered up a logical conclusion. It would be most easy to classify him as an arcane fist. Magic and Strength in equal measure. But..I noticed the faintest of scars. This is mere speculation...but I don't think that our prince has much in the way of endurance. Other than that, he is indeed quite impressive. And one day we may stand at that level of power. It is indeed a sobering thought. If it is possible to reach that level of power, then there are indeed terrifying things in the worlds. He said, crossing his arms as he turned around, leaning against a wall and staring up at the station plaza. Once there was a large clock tower up there. But, now there was only ash and muck. As most of the town remained. However, he was no fool. The town would endure. It was too large not to.

If he was certain in anything, it was that.
