Heretical Reincarnation
Ability Name: (Heretical Reincarnation)
Ability Type: (Special)
Ability Cost: (200MP)
Ability Cooldown: (Cannot be used more than once a topic)
Ability Element: (Necrosis/Biosis)
Ability Description: (The pinnacle of necromantic arts. With this ability, Dominik is capable of bringing one who has passed back to the world of the living not as an undead, but as a living being. This magic is strictly forbidden across all kingdoms knowledgeable of its existence. This spell has numerous requirements before being used:
1. A Soul Catalyst filled with a soul taken from another human being must be in possession. Soul catalysts are most often acquired by casting a special spell called Soul Crystallization within the Taboo class. The soul can then be contained within the catalyst through another Taboo spell, Soul Entrapment. These Taboo spells cannot be cast consecutively on the same person, as the former solidifies the soul and the latter seals away the soul within an acquired, and empty, soul catalyst.
2. The caster must be capable of transmuting their mana into necrosis as well as being able to cast a field of pure mana simultaneously.
3. The caster must be able to summon a heraldic platform to a deity representing death, in this case it will be the Pillars of Lith.
4. A body or some sort of flesh of the person to be reincarnated (of whom will be referred to from this point onward as the “reincarnatee”) must be in possession of the caster.
5. The reincarnatee must be dead and their soul must be in possession of a deity or some sort of aspect that represents death. Those who sold their soul to a diabolic entity through a means of contract or any other method similar are still eligible to be retrieved as most demons are more inclined to hold one’s soul for eternal servitude rather than hoarding souls via sealing.
Heretical Reincarnation is a 3 phase Ritual type spell:
1. The caster must first summon the Pillars of Lith. Then have the flesh sample of reincarnatee must be placed in between the Pillars of Lith with the soul catalyst placed directly north of the flesh sample and still within the boundaries indicated by the Pillars of Lith.
2. The caster must step outside the boundaries of the Pillars of Lith, and step in line of the flesh sample and the soul catalyst. Then, the caster must use necrosis to connect the flesh sample and the soul catalyst. After that is complete, an aspect or other representation of the entity in possession of the reincarnatee’s soul will appear before the caster, and thus return the soul to the reincarnatee.
3. The caster must now cast a field of mana through the necrosis connecting the flesh sample and the soul catalyst. This mana field will transmute the soul within its catalyst into Biosis, the manifestation of one's own being. The Necrosis will bring the reincarnatee back to life and the Biosis will transmute decayed flesh back into living flesh, thus giving the reincarnated the properties of a living being.
However, this ritual is not without cost. Necrosis applied to the reincarnated does not fade and will remain there even after the reincarnated perishes again. If the Necrosis is forcefully removed by any other means, then the reincarnated will perish. Post reincarnation, the Necrosis will be visible as a blackened coloration to the reincarnated’s veins. This coloration will eventually fade after the topic when the reincarnation took place. However, after that time passes, there will be a black coloration to the physical heart of the reincarnated, visible to those observing it. This coloration of the physical heart is denoted as the “Mark of Heresy,” referring to the thievery of their soul from their deity of death.
If the reincarnated is to perish again after being revived by Heretical Reincarnation, then the physical body will no longer be able to be revived through Heretical Reincarnation and any other means of reincarnation will be significantly more difficult due to the presence of Necrosis implanted through Heretical Reincarnation.
