Um, unless I've made a grave mistake and forgot something, there is close to nothing stopping you from upgrading your tier, mana, etc, I-n-s-t-a-n-t-l-y. So, I've made this post to try and speak up about it, because I feel very sleazy if my character has these huge-tier levels with little-to-no effort.

There is nothing stopping you from upgrading your stats, because power doesn't matter. The competitive system is still around, but will soon be removed.

If someone were to abuse this aspect of the story system, then people would just stop RPing with them. And, likely, their actions will have little consequence on the world. Blatant toxicity and disregard for others is not tolerated.

The system is designed around self control. You can choose to progress your character at your own pace. Not every character will have a classic journey. Sometimes someone wants to create a prodigy. Sometimes someone wants to create a retired veteran. It's about creating characters you and others can have fun roleplaying with.

But it seems hat every time I check a signature-WHAM! V tier for nearly every stat('ept poor old Synthesis.)

A lot of characters were transferred over from the original competitive system. Even then, people's decisions don't need to be justified. There's is nothing innately wrong with power.

It is a bit different from classical rp, but I'm sure, with enough time, you'll make the adjustments.
