Tago, the Wise Cat
Name: Tago
Age: 82
Personality:
Tago is a good natured old man. He tends to act goofy, like how he overreacts every time he catches something when fishing, or when he finds interesting things that most wouldn’t even dare to look at. However, his words carry due weight: having seen many things across his life, he’s knowledgeable and wise, a good person to rely on when in need of advice or information. He dislikes fighting, and tries to stay away from conflict whenever it’s possible, though he’s not against cheering someone who’s heading into battle. Generally, he’ll aid those who are on the right, but it’s not beyond him to peacefully chat with those who he doesn’t agree with. Finally, he’s a traveler in spirit, and thus it’s hard to find him hanging around in a set place. People who want to talk with him will have a hard time finding him.
Race: Somebody (anthropomorphic cat)
Appearance:
^ As as this fat cat over here.
Primary Elements
1.) Light
2.) Time
3.) Plant
4.) Earth
History:
Tago was a denizen of the Country of the Musketeers. During his childhood, most of his peers admired musketeers and dreamed of joining their ranks someday. They all trained with wooden sword, attempted heroic acts and did their best to show off in front of officials. However, Tago was different from them: not only did he dislike fencing, but he also wasn’t interested in becoming a musketeer. A peaceful soul, he preferred to spend his days reading books, immersing himself in the many worlds that they had to offer. He liked them so much, that once he turned 18, he decided to set off and travel the world himself in order to search for wonders and adventure.
During his travels, he came across an interesting object: a bright shard that seemed to have fallen from the skies. He took this shard between his hands, and looking at the shiny dots above his head, he wished to see things that no one else had seen, things hidden in the worlds beyond.
And the star granted his wish: it emitted a bright like that engulfed the body of the fat cat named Tago, and suddenly he was up there, flying between the celestial bodies. He came to understand that every single spot of brightness was a different world, and the thought of being able to set foot on them filled him with joy.
The shard made him bounce here and there until he was finally released in a land much different from his own. And though many would have been scared, he decided to do what he had been doing all along: journey, and see what the universe had to offer.
He came to see and experience a lot of things. Many of them were good and beautiful, while others were bad and disgusting. He learned from the people he met, from the things he saw, and with the pass of years, he also grew wiser, enough for kids to call him a “side old man” every now and then.
One day, he crossed paths with someone that claimed to be a Keyblade Master. This man recognized Tago as a fellow traveler of the worlds, and immediately asked about his reasons for it. Tago simply replied: “I have no reason”. The answer seemed to amuse the old Keyblade Master, who decided to travel together with the cat for a while. Soon they became good friends, and shared everything they knew with each other. Tago told the Keyblade Master about the places he had seen, and the Keyblade Master about his duties, about Keyblades, about the darkness threatening the universe, and about himself, how he had lived for too long and didn’t have much left.
On his final days, the Keyblade Master told Tago about a certain spell he had mastered. It was a simple spell, yet complex at the same time: it slowed the passage of time for the user’s body, allowing them to live far more than they should. A great deal of knowledge was required in order to master this spell however, and he didn’t have enough time to teach it to Tago. However, he could make the old cat inherit part of his memories through a certain ritual. As the Keyblade Master’s only wish was to pass on his spirit to someone, he agreed to the ritual, and the two of them traveled to an abandoned cave, far from civilization, in order to perform it.
The ritual was a short one, or so it seemed for Tago. In reality, many years had passed on the outside world, a side effect of inheriting a spell that manipulated time. He gained the ability to diminish the pace of his aging, at the cost of draining what little was left of his friend’s life.
And in order to honor him, he decided to once more set forth to journey the land, and see what destiny had for him in store.
Other Notes:
-He’s incapable of fighting.
-Tago uses magic mostly to protect himself, flee and other useful things.
-Overwight, and may possibly scare children who are not used to seeing antropomorphic cats on the streets.
