Blight Empty Blight

Post by Meikai Mon Jun 06, 2016 4:11 am

Base Ability: Demon Blight -- Meikai is in complete control of a strong demonic influence that turns the land, water, and living organisms into twisted mockeries of their former selves. It can be spread through contact with Meikai (if she chooses to corrupt it), or through her abilities and spells. The corruption has a much easier time with converting organic matter, but the process always starts with a fibrous creep that is spawned either from Meikai herself, her abilities, or her synthesized items. Once in contact with the blight fibers, matter will start to decay and be converted to blight, while retaining most of their properties. The infection spreads this way, although slower if Meikai isn't around.

Blight is a sticky yet fibrous material that is moon and plant-based infused with extreme darkness, but because it has been twisted so much, moon, plant, or darkness manipulation isn't enough to override Meikai's control over this pseudo element combination. Blight is weak to fire, and can be cleansed from characters if they have the proper abilities like Esuna or other similar abilities that remove debuffs, although this in itself isn't a debuff.

It spreads out from a source at a rate of 30 meters per post. Plant matter is converted in 1 post, being the basic element. Harder materials take anywhere between 3 to 10 posts, depending on how durable and tough it is.
Base Ability Cool Down:

Tier One
1st Skill: One -- Meikai isn't negatively affected by any of her own skills and abilities
2nd Skill: Smog -- A thick, choking smoke can constantly be emitted from blight to limit vision. Burning the blight produces the same effect.
3rd Skill: Assimilation -- Any matter that comes into contact with blight will almost immediately pick up a trace of it, which spreads quickly with the aim of engulfing the matter's surface while attempting to burrow into it for a quicker conversion. Flesh and cloth are easily pierced, and removing the blight by force will always hurt. Harder materials like metal, stone or earth take much longer to penetrate.
4th Skill: Medium -- Blight can be used as the point where abilities originate.
5th Skill: Assumed Control -- Any limb that has succumbed to the blight can be controlled by Meikai. While this control starts the moment blight has wrapped around the limb, it only becomes a problem when it has converted at least half of the limb. The control can still be fought, but requires a lot of willpower.

Tier Two
1st Skill: Meld -- Meikai can sink into a blighted surface and reappear on another every 2 posts.
2nd Skill: Siphon -- Blight steal 20 MP from every enemy in contact with it every post.
3rd Skill: Blight Lashers -- Meikai can spawn a vine-like creature from blight every 4 posts, which lash out at enemies that come close. They are also capable of gripping on to terrain, objects or people. While their stats are a tier lower than Meikai's they are easily cut. While this doesn't 'kill' them, they can be removed much easier, although they are still 'alive' and continue to spread blight. Only two at a time can be active. These lashers can attack targets up to 50 meters away. If hit by the Lashers, Siphon will trigger again.
4th Skill: Override -- Plant matter is almost instantly converted to blight on contact and becomes insusceptible to plant-based manipulation.

Tier Three
1st Skill: Blighted Minions -- Meikai can give sentience to blight, allowing her to create constructs from any blighted surface. The number of minions she can have at a time is equal to her character tier. Minion stats are a tier lower than Meikai's.
2nd Skill: Minion Meld -- Minions are capable of sinking into a blighted surface to rise up on another every 2 posts.
3rd Skill: Minion Recovery -- Minions moderately regenerate. This doubles while on blighted surfaces.

Base Ability: Opponents will not be able to override what you do to other organic matter, but when it comes to their characters, then they have the ability to cleanse the fibers, should they have a majority of those elements. Also, you will need to put a time lapse on how long it'll take for things to become converted.

Tier One:
Assimilation: You will need a time lapse on how long it'll take to convert.

Blight Lashers: This is a tier four skill. You can choose to move it to that tier or limit what it can do. At tier one, you will not be able to freely create them. Two at a time and a 4 post cool down every time you spawn them.

Assumed Control: At tier one, anybody affected by this will easily be able to break free of the control, if they are Tier 3 or above.

Tier Two:
Meld: Two post cool down.

Tier Three:
Blighted Minions: Give more details, such as stats and depending on that, it'll determine the cool down and other limitations.

Minion Meld: Same as Meld on Tier Two

BA: Added time lapses. They can still rip out the fibers before they root too deeply, and abilities that remove debuffs would cleanse the fibers, and also added that they need at least two types of manipulation to cleanse it off of their characters.

T1
Assimilation: Same as the speed found in the BA
Blight Lashers: Added limits, as well as maximum range.
Assumed Control: But once their limbs are fully converted, wouldn't taking back control become difficult? I can see it if they have regeneration though.

T2
Meld: Done

T3
Blighted Minions: Made it variable, but only lets 12 points maximum to be allocated
Minion Meld: Done

BA: I didn't know you had those other limits already imposed. I didn't think it would have been cleansed through a debuff remover or able to be ripped out in time, so you can keep the fact that they can't manipulate it no matter what elements they have, since you already have drawbacks that are easy to use.

Tier One:
Assimilation: Fair point. Now that I gave it a third look over, its not like a mind control thing or what have you, so it's fine if it becomes especially difficult to regain control. Though, I'm sure they can cleanse this or if they have other ways of overriding your control, it can be overridden, correct?

Tier Three:
Blighted Minions: You cannot freely allocate stat points, so they'll have to follow the same rule as the Blight Lashers, in which they are a tier lower than your current character tier, in all stats.

BA: Actually, I just added them in along with your suggestion. Removed other people's manipulations from affecting blight.

I switched the tiers of Blight Lashers (T1 formerly) and Medium (T2 formerly) because it seemed much more sensible in terms of their power. Also kind of buffed the Lashers by having all its stats 1 tier lower than Meikai's instead of just strength, and made it so that each hit from them will trigger Siphon again.

Assumed Control: They can cleanse it with debuff removers, but the only way they could override her control would be if they had something similar that converts the blight into something else. That is, if the blight has fully taken over. If it hasn't yet, then they can still power through the influence.

T3
Blighted Minions: I was going for something like mini-summons. Something like PC Heartless summoning shadows and other lesser heartless.

Tier Three:
Blighted Minions: That's the thing, they're too close to summons, so you can either make them summons or choose to go with my previous suggestion for a revision.

The amount increases by 1, for every tier, so up to five at tier five.
