Hello... Friend? [Serenae, Private] Empty Hello... Friend? [Serenae, Private]

There were just so many small hurdles in the forest Val explored, mainly fractured terrain that looked like pieces of a jigsaw puzzle that didn't quite fit. It was as if parts of the ground snapped up and down, making miniature cliffs. Val often found herself faced with dead ends, so she had to employ the use of her void portals to get to higher and lower grounds. When she faced a wide canyon, all it took was finding a suitable spot to place one end of a portal, and opening another on her end.

On this side of the forest, the trees were farther apart, letting her better see what was beyond her. Rays of sunlight pierced through the thick canopy of leaves, and giving some luminescence on the ground. Little woodland creatures like squirrels were often crossing her path, as well as some larger ones like deer, but they would prance away whenever she tried to get close to them, so she simply ignored them.

Further, even deeper into the bright forest, she found a clearing dominated by white flowers. They smelled sweet, and a family of butterflies were fluttering around without a care in the world. Val carefully walked to the center, got down on her knees, and sat on her heels, taking a well-earned rest. An orange butterfly with black spots was fluttering in front of her, probably thinking she was a big flower. The little insect landed on the fine gem on her chest. Val simply sat there, contented with the quiet while admiring the flowers around her.
