Prologue of the Lion [CLOSED] Empty Prologue of the Lion [CLOSED]

Post by Revas Sat Jul 11, 2015 1:23 pm

It rained. The water beat down on the streets, reminding Revas of his time back home, looking at all the commoners who lived in poverty. Lost souls came to Traverse, but unlike them he lost his soul long ago when he realized what his world had come to. Corruption, constant war, it was tiring but the elf raged on. He wouldn't let it stop him, in fact he'd embrace the society for what it was and rise up with his own people. It hurt finding out what the organization pulling the strings had become, and what the leader had done to the world. It hurt enough to look at all humans with disgust, few were exempt. Revas hated humans, and it took a strong bond to make one an exception. Arvaarad was that exception, another lost soul who had come to Traverse Town for solace. Revas, in his thoughts, continued sharpening his blades. In the headquarters for the Lionhart, Revas was still wondering how he'd tell Arvy that he was leaving. The boy probably knew, but Revas knew it wasn't fair to assume that or go without goodbyes.

Heavy footsteps could be heard from a distance, likely the sound of Gorion approaching. Revas picked up a sheath from the table next to him, placing a dagger in it. He did the same with another sheath and with a ceremonial position, sheathed his sword. The great lion-man entered the room as expected, donning the Lionhart uniform. "Red. I see you're preparing for the trip. Or is it just normal elvhen tradition?" Revas smiled faintly, a slight tear in his eye. "No, just preparing for the day ahead. Yes, Elvhen tradition to keep all weapons in pristine condition. If I had elvhen silver, I'd have much better blades. Oh well." Gorion smiled, walking towards Revas and kneeling down to his leaver. Putting his hammy hand on the boy's shoulder, he decided to give some words of wisdom. "Worry not, Red. Arv will come around. Now, don't go cleaving any criminals. If you do, this hand on your shoulder will smack you into a building." Gorion spoke as calmly and casually as possible, standing up and removing himself from the room. Revas sat in horror from the last time Gorion slapped him. He was hospitalized for a few days. Revas shook his head and made his way out the window. He warped, ending up in a sitting position with his weapons in their rightful place. He dangled his legs over the roofing, looking out into the city.

"Don't have to look at this city more than a few nights more. I won't miss it. But, Arv, I'll miss you." He quietly whispered to himself.

Prologue of the Lion [CLOSED] Empty Re: Prologue of the Lion [CLOSED]

Revas saw Sparks walking along the street, his massive blade the real indicator as it was strapped to his back. He wondered where the boy was going, hoping that he wasn't on his way to procure opium again. When he was using Opium, his arms-keeping took a major shot. Sighing, Revas, still in his sitting position, warped to a nearby rooftop. Rising up, he began running across the tiled tops of the buildings, making sure not to produce too much noise as he would alarm Sparks. Noticing the companion slipping into the alley, Revas, slid down gently and jumped off, warping to a ledge and then back down to the ground. He started a dash, warping before he could run into a civilian. It was great using his ability to pass through space, a relieving and relaxing sensation of the freedom to go anywhere. Freedom from the shackles people try to put on him. Hiding around the corner from Sparks, Revas unsheathed a dagger from his side sheath, looking up and warping twice. Once to grab onto a windowsill, and a second to complete his climb onto the building. Sneaking along, he noticed a figure holding a might weapon. Getting close, Revas grabbed the figure and warped backwards.

Pinning the man down, he put a blade to his throat and removed the hood covering his face. Revas noticed it was a goon from a traveling band of pirates that had stationed themselves in Traverse Town for some rendezvous, based on the intel the Lionhart Spymaster gathered. "You're going to tell me what this meeting is about and I will avoid cutting your throat, shemlen." Revas, with a harsh but quiet whisper, threatened the man. He smiled, before his tongue pulled at what seemed to be a false tooth. Biting down, his mouth began to foam up and Revas found no use for him anymore. Rushing to the ledge where the figure was found, Sparks was handing a briefcase to a hulking figure of sorts. In return, he was handed a package. Return customer? Waiting until Sparks started walking away, they all started slowly revealing their firearms. Warping down to their level, he removed the other dagger before breathing in, then breathing out. He focused on the trio about to gun down his ally, crouching just enough to give himself the right positioning. His body was sucked into itself, and he came out not too far behind sparks. Suddenly, the trio fell in spurts of blood. The man in the middle was even cut in half, their bodies releasing high volumes of ichor.

Sparks turned around and removed his blade, which was pointed at nothing. Turning his head, he saw Revas with one dagger to his throat and one dagger prepared to defend. "I always knew a shemlen like you couldn't help but satiate your addiction." Sparks sighed, opening up the package to reveal a box, which contained nothing but a note. "Red, we have an upcoming operation before we leave. Got a guy on the inside....Are they dead? What the hell?" Sparks realized that Revas killed them, but didn't know why. "Surprisingly, I saved you from being killed." The two proceeded to return to HQ, where Revas would be debriefed.

Prologue of the Lion [CLOSED] Empty Re: Prologue of the Lion [CLOSED]

When Revas and Sparks returned to the Lionhart building, Gorion looked at the elf with a risen brow. It soon switched to furled, as he realized that Revas had discovered the operation they were running. Before the lion-man could roar his beratement upon the two, Sparks took a step forward. "Now, now. he saved me. He saw me somehow, I don't know you know he's a building-hopper. But he saved me from an unfortunate twist." Gorion sighed in frustration, wondering if the operation was blown. Pacing, he took time to decide their next move. Revas kept quiet, crossing his arms to see if Gorion would actually ask for his help. The two had a relationship where Gorion wanted to avoid the bloody tendencies of Revas, someone who had no mercy for those who showed an inch of evil. This was his way, something he learned from his home. Don't trust humans. Kill them if they disrupt society. Gorion wanted to teach Revas to overcome that mindset, so he often made the boy stay his blade and protect the base.

"Fine. You win. You'll be keeping a distance behind Sparks, who will be going to meet with them as a representative. That package is our key. They don't know their men are dead yet, and we will come forth knowing they are. We were warned this could happen. Sparks, you should've kept your guard up." Sparks sighed, shaking his head. Revas smiled after his ego was given candy to butter him up. He nodded in agreement. "If only Arvaarad was one of us. He could actually run espionage and stealth. I just like taking fewer steps over greater distances." Gorion stopped all movement, knowing that was a jab at when he rejected Arvaarad but accepted the murderer. The two stared at each other, but eventually the duo underlings would make their way towards the meeting spot. "Wow, what a way of words, Red." Revas shrugged as they walked, warping away but first saying, "Well, I just have my ways. Now to go onto my way on this mission." And then the two continued their path.

Prologue of the Lion [CLOSED] Empty Re: Prologue of the Lion [CLOSED]

Sparks was approaching the thug's compound, weaponless as Revas trailed far behind. He was inside the buildings, warping around the empty rooms and switching between buildings as he kept hidden. Revas watched as the novice smith was allowed into the compound. Warping to a guard's post, he inserted a dagger into the man's throat and kept him from screaming out. Slowly dropping the body down, Revas would do this a few more times. Eliminating the amount of eyes on the area, Revas took the highest position he could. Keeping a view of below, Revas removed his daggers in preparation. This was a sting operation, and as soon as the most important people were collected, Revas would take them down. Sparks met with the leader of the thugs, who had been carrying a briefcase. Sparks made the exchange, but immediately a flare was revealed and shot. Revas warped downward, Angling himself to use his Warp Zantetsuken. Lining up a majority of the thugs. Immediately, at least seven thugs fell in half. Warping three more times, he inserted and removed his daggers and dropped the thugs.

They were clearly inexperienced, and the leader just trembled in fear. Revas was a fearsome killer, known as a very bloody warrior for the Lionhart. Only against humans, though. The leader suddenly went from fear to a wicked smile as the two were surrounded by snipers. "Didn't expect this, now did you?" Revas rolled his eyes, but as soon as he went to turn around and warp, Sparks was shot in the leg. Yelping in pain, he shot the flare gun again. Gunshots rung throughout, and eventually the leader saw his ambush had failed. Revas raised his brow, as if it was expected they'd need more than just those two. "Shemlen, underestimating me. You only slow me down, Sparks." Sparks, in pain, signalled a 'Fuck you' to his comrade. Sheathing his daggers, Revas turned to the leader and closed in on him. Throwing the thug to the ground, he removed his sword and revealed it, pointing it downward and preparing to kill the thug. "No, we're taking him in." Revas looked at Sparks menacingly, sighing before warping away. Some Lionhart units came in and took the man away, and the two returned to base.
