Bonfire Blitz Empty Bonfire Blitz

Post by Veara Tue Mar 31, 2015 12:27 am

The full moon began its ascension into the sky, the night sky was filled with stars foretelling of the past above the islands. It was a crisp and warm night, the type of night that the islanders loved to bask within. With good times to be had by all and for all. The way the islanders usually celebrated these type of nights were simple, bonfire. Yes indeed, a bonfire, quite big one too. On one of the many beaches that made up the Destiny Isles off the main island they all were coming together. Two separate, large bundles of wood were currently being combined while many tiki torches were already set up on the beach lit for people who were coming out while the bonfire was being prepped. They were large candles that were lit and the ocean a glow and a beautiful sight indeed for the eyes. Yes, many of the citizens both young and old were coming out with their trademarks foods and games for the children to play. It was an absolute great moment to be had by all. Soon the two piles of wood, were finished being combined and they were lit. The gigantic flame came to life in the center of the beach and the crowd at first was kept back for a moment or so, when the flames finally calmed down it was okay for the people to move in and gather around the spectacle.

Among these people was Veara who already knew many islanders due to the popularity of his ice cream shop and known among the people to be called, 'the ice cream guy'. Currently he was in his casual get up except rather then wearing his usual boots he was currently barefoot. His spiked hood on his head giving him the impression of having horns to the children that were currently out at this event. As always trying to be apart of the community and contributing in the best way he could he was currently here giving out free samples to any and all who wanted them. He had a little table set up with a new type of ice cream preparation in his battle combat the popularity of sea salt ice cream.

"That's right try first here folks a new flavor only for tonight smores! With a graham cracker cone! Only for tonight and there limited everybody get it while you can, I guarantee you won't be disappointed." He called out towards the crowd and already he was getting some business. He was currently being the crier for his business while one of the teenagers he employed off the island(named steve) would main the table. This way it was possible for Veara to leave and go get more if needed. Honestly, if you asked him while he did love seeing the smiles his ice cream have the people of this land it would be nice to just for once be able to enjoy the festivities with someone. Though for now this was nice at least...right?

With the overwhelming energy that was present at the event, there was no way that Tsumiko could miss out on this! It was nighttime on the remote island, but one could hardly say it was cold. In fact, it was so warm that she even decided to wear a frilled skirt and a hooded bustier. For reasons unknown to even herself, there were sleeves attached to the sides. Her boots and socks lay inanimate in pile some feet away. She called it the "Going-Home Outfit #2". Not that she had any actual intentions of going home with anyone, she had a nice cozy room at an Inn on the mainland already purchased, it just seemed like a fine name for the assembled garments. Hell, there wasn't even a #1. It was just for kicks and giggles.

Getting back to the main focus of the topic which this story is told (deal with it), the atmosphere surrounding the evening was something else. Save for the twinkling stars above and the overseeing moon, the only light came from the fires. There were tiki torches, floating candles in the ocean, and the main star of the show, the bonfire! Oh how the tantalizing scent of burning wood made her hunger for...

She heard it! The singular word that made her mouth begin to water almost is if on cue. They were selling s'mores! Oh what a canny businessperson this turned out to be. Canny indeed. Strolling up to the table in an eager happiness, Tsumiko gazed down at the wares begin sold to find herself blinking at not an actual s'more, but a treat flavored as one. The songstress knew not of the 'ice-cream guy' and so didn't know what to expect when she approached. But it didn't matter. Two treats in one was one hell of a way to kick off a fun night  like this one!

After thanking the teen for the delicious delicacy, she turned to commence her strolling of the festive activities. Children were playing games, parents and grandparents chatted among themselves. It was a rather pleasant vibe. Very homely. As she nom'ed her cone, looking about in child-like awe, she happened to pass a person which caught her attention. She wasn't even sure what it was about this person that grabbed her attention, or even any remote feature about them to recall. Moving to do a double-take, Tsumiko blinked in confusion when she didn't see anyone worth noting.

Perplexed, and perhaps hallucinating a tad (or was she), she continued her her strolling, liking her cone with great satisfaction.

Veara was satisfied with the night and the way it was currently being handled, however currently he needed to get public opinion about the product while it was true they were definitely enjoying it by the smiles on their faces he definitely wanted to know more then just that. Having the teenager and a friend of his hold down the fort while he went and gained information on the product with the crowd.

His hood remained on his head however he kept it upon the center of his head. So that his entire head face was now able to be seen, however he still got to have the satisfaction of having his horns upon his head. Everyone he spoke too gave him a thumbs up or simply shoo'd him away telling him it was great. However, he needed more suddenly he came across another woman, she seemed to be around his age and she had a silvery hair that was dipped in blue...SHE WAS PERFECT. Because, she had a cone perhaps he could get a more accurate description from her.

Making his way through the crowd passing people with constant excuse me, up to the girl and tapping on her shoulder. "Excuse me mam, but I can't help but notice you have one of the special ice creams I made. I would actually like opinions on these, could you perhaps give me your opinion on the taste and the quality of the cone" He asked her believing this is how all others talked around his age. He would look down at the girl with a simply smile on his face and anticipation. He was delighted that so many people were enjoying the taste, but he needed to know why.

As she was minding her own business, enjoying the free treat, Tsumiko felt a light tap on her shoulder. Turning to face the stranger, in the most graceful picture of beauty, she had the cone shoved against her lips as she attempted to lick out all the creamy goodness the cone had to offer. The intended plan was to finish off with the best part after all the ice-cream was gone, which was the gram cracker cone of course. Lowering the cone, the songstress realized just how silly she might seem with globs of mostly melted s'more ice-cream on her entire face.

He had asked her a question, most of which came in through one ear and out the other. All she heard was something about an opinion. Most likely about the treat she had been devouring. Her attention was focused on something just above the blonde boys head - his hat. It was what had caught her attention just a few minutes ago. It was his hat that reminded her so fondly of cat ears. The thought alone was enough to have her flash a geeky smile. Cats were nice. They were the purrrfect pet.

Diverting her gaze to the man in question before stubborn reflexes too over, Tsumiko answered him. "It's like someone took a s'more and put it into a desert transmorgifier and turned it into an ice-cream. I like the cone. It was a nice touch." She gestured to the empty, somewhat soggy cone in her hand. Nibbling a bit on the edge, she never once broke eye contact, nor did her smile falter.

Mission - be a respectable adult that society would accept.

Status - Total, utter failure.

Post by Veara Tue Mar 31, 2015 2:12 am

When she turned around Veara was greeted with the most surprising sight. The lady before him was currently sticking her face into the cone, trying to get the last of the product that was within the cone. Now usually anyone who saw someone perform an action similar to this would be put off by it. Unforunately, Veara was not one of those people. To him, this was the equivalence of having someone bow to him. She liked his product so much that she was going that far to get the last of the content and in public. No doubt she wished to keep the cone for last and finish off what was within the cone. Veara looked away for a second, feeling a blush come to his cheeks feeling like this was one of the best praises he had ever received next to that young toddler giving him the thank you card.

Though one little observation was odd while he initially spoke to her, following her eyes she was looking above him....now why would that be? It wasn't until Veara stopped and thought about he realized the reason for this. She was looking at the bonfire which was behind him currently. Maybe, she was wow'd by the bright flames....they were pretty bright.

After a moment or so, the woman finally looked him in the eyes and soon she began to speak. The eye contact they shared never broke and there was a smile upon both of their faces. Neither smile faltered and to be frank, Veara's smile grew two times it size when he heard what she had to say about the ice cream. Veara honestly was so happy, this ice cream wasn't as easy to make as anyone thought it would be. It took patience, especially to get a successful batch. After that he had to continue to get that right batch again and again.....BUT...seeing an unwavering smile like this girls and her obvious like of the product was honestly a huge pride boost and Veara felt good about himself.

After she finished Veara closed his eyes and his smile stretched far wider and much more goofy looking then what it had been. "Thank you, I greatly appreciate that. I only ask of you to enjoy the treat and enjoy the next product I'll enjoy creating! Take care!" The ice cream guy would finish talking to her and he would spin on his heel and with a skip in his step and a smile on his face he made his way back towards the table. Hopefully Steven and his friend weren't done in by the crowd.

With a skip in his step and a grin on his face, Tsumiko watched the distance between them grew wider. And the most prominent thought on her mind was the fact that she wished to wear his hat. Upon further inspection, however, it was noted that it was not a hat but a hood, attached to the sweater that he wore. The only way to way that magnificent piece of apparel was to swipe it off his very body. While the idea seemed tempting, the good songstress resisted and instead imagined something similar placed upon her head.

Now moping as she crunched away on her delicious graham cracker cone, Tsumiko stepped aside to the edge of the ocean. It ice cream was getting sticky on her face was becoming something of an annoyance. That she didn't want people to thin that she was a total loony... Not only did the water before her smell salty, but man did it taste salty! That in itself was a learning experience - never taste the ocean. With her nose scrunched and a bitter expression present on her face, the strum of a guitar caught her attention. Turning to look over her shoulder, there was a bearded man sitting beside the fire with a... ukulele? Indeed, the older gentleman was playing the stringed instrument, as he should be. It did seem like something that should happen at a bonfire...maybe.

Stepping closer, the songstress began swaying to the rhythm of the gentleman's tune. After some time of listening, she couldn't resist any longer. Lyrics began bursting from her lips. The wandering eyes of the locals turned to her, but their watchful gaze didn't bother her.

"I closed my eyes, drew back the curtain
To see for certain, what I thought I knew
Far far away, someone was weeping
but the world was sleeping, any dream will do."

Hands folded neatly at her chest, Tsumiko opened her eyes to look at the wide-eyed child sitting in front of her with a gentle smile. The older gentleman was surprised, but continued to play for the amusement of it all.

"I wore my coat with golden lining,
Bright colors shining wonderful and new
And in the east the dawn was breaking
And the world was waking, any dream will do.

A crash of drums, a flash of light
My golden cloak flew out of sight
the colors faded into darkness, I was left alone.

May I return to the beginning, the light is dimming
And the dream is too.
The world and I, we are still waiting,
Still hesitating, any dream will do.

Give me my colored coat, my amazing colored coat.
Give me my colored coat, my amazing colored coat."

There was a sigh that escaped her as her singing stopped, and a satisfied smile spread across her face.

Post by Veara Wed Apr 01, 2015 11:22 pm

As Veara made his way away from the girl and into the crowd he was greeted by more people that he had known from around the island. Most of them simply giving him a hello and some asking how the business was coming along to which he would reply it was coming, and doing well. Honestly, Veara couldn't realky find fault with his business and the way it was currently being handled. Everything was going well on that front and no complaints to be had.

Currently his number one complaint could only be that he had to figure his way through this crowd and back to his stand. Consistently he moved and moved through the crowd, until finally he was able to find the table.

There was only a note.

'We ran out of supplies, go enjoy the bonfire.'

Of course Steven would leave something like that. In these type of cases Steven would always leave a note similar to something among those lines. In short, he wanted to go hang out with his friends. Which Veara couldn't really blame the kid, however it would be nice if he could at least wait until Veara got back. An not make decisions like that.

Might as well head home, especially since everything was fine here, but first one last look at the ocean. His only reason being he loved the way it looked with the candles and of course the hint of lemon.

Making his way through the crowd until he got close to the ocean, he was leaving the crowd and thus for a moment it was much quieter. That was until he heard a voice singing....wait singing?

Veara looked around and he couldn't find the person for a moment, however he heard the voice. It sounded soothing and gentle, perhaps someone who sand for a living came to the island.

It didn't take long, Veara ginally was able to pinpoint the girl that this melodic voice belonged too. An it turned out to be the same girl who h had met earlier and he had just caught her at the end of the tune or at least she had stopped singing. Walking up to the girl and older man who was still strumming along on his ukelele, he clapped for the performance. "Not only are you a fan of my product, but also you are quite the singer too, that's amazing. Veara would say praising the girl while he walked closer to her. "If I may ask, do you sing for a living or are you just always able to carry quite an amazing tune." He would ask her while smiling at this girl once again for the second time that night.

Honestly, finding it funny that even though there was all these people he bumped into her once more.

The silence that followed her impromptu performance was a little disheartening, but after a short moment a few hands began sounding off an applause. Among which was the lad from earlier with the feline-esque hood, making a comment about his 'product'. Which lead her to assume that he was some sort of manager or whatnot of the company that was handing out the free samples. Which were delish. Whatever his identity, a shy smile twitched at her lips at the compliment she received. It was always a confidence booster to hear such things, and never failed to give a much needed push.

However, the songstress found that answering his question was rather a hard thing to do ... in a 100% honest sort of way... It's true that ever since leaving Radiant Garden to explore the great unknown that she used her singing as a means of some source of income, however minor it may be. In fact, it was the munny that she put together over the last day or so that paid for the room at the Inn she stayed at. It wasn't all that bad, honestly, being that singing was what she loved to do, and to perform for any and all was not a problem in the least. It was was that it could hardly be called a profession that got her. Just another street performer, or something along those lines... But no one really needed to know those minor details.

With a small smile that showed her gratitude towards the stranger and his kind words, Tsumiko gave a small giggle. "Thanks. I guess... I've always been able to sing. And I love nothing more than just that! Any time that I can share the gift of song with someone new, nothing makes me happier."

The crowd seemed to go back to their previous endeavors before her mild interruption after some time. Kids played their games, adults chatted among themselves, the elderly watched both with reminiscing gazes. (Though not all of the mentioned parties were doing those specific things, mind you. Let there be rebels!) With her fingers now laced behind her, Tsumiko pivoted at the hip as she tipped her head to the side.

"What about you? Is there something you like to do that you share with the world?"

It wasn't that the songstress was wholly opposed to the idea of talking about herself, there were just some things she'd rather not think about. It was always more fun to hear what others had to say, anyways, and what kind of gift they wished to share with others should they even have such a wish. Some didn't, Tsumiko understood that, but most did. What she heard from time to time was most definitely an inspiration to live by. As she awaited the hooded man's answer, she pondered the countless possibilities that might come as his answer.

Bonfire Blitz Empty Re: Bonfire Blitz

Post by Veara Thu Apr 02, 2015 8:46 pm

Veara looked down at her when she initially began to talk to him, however she wasn't all that there. At least it seemed she wasn't all that there. The shy smile he was given and the way she carries herself. Perhaps, she wasn't that professional as she thought he was...wow...that honestly made the girl even more amazing in his eyes, due to the fact that she was actually able to pull off having a voice such as that without training or the likes of that.

Usually it wasn't very often you heard voices such as that especially on the islands. Usually there the voices were very upbeat and with a constant pep in them that usually thrived among even the older citizens when they were playing their instruments and what not within the main market or on popular island destinations. To be honest, Veara did enjoy the sound that islanders would produce and more often then was lucky enough to have a couple of them perform near him every so often. Though this girls voice was different, unlike voices from the island that were thriving and filled one with energy. Her voice calmed Veara, it was soothing, relaxing, something he could honestly fall asleep too. Though he wouldn't be admitting that outloud not trying to sound like a creep or anything such as that.

When she spoke Veara understood her words and the goofy smile on his face, turned into a surprised goofy smile that his guess was correct and she indeed was not professionally trained. In truth, there are few times Veara was correct in these sort of situations. Her words made him made him happy to hear someone else that just loved to share their gift with the worlds and is glad that people will take it. That's usually how he felt about his own shop, though that was only half of his talents. His number one talent was simply put destruction, however he used that destructive nature to defend this world only when need be. Though there really was no reason to bring that up within their talk.

When she asked what he did, he could help but feel smaller even though he towered over the girl in height. "Well I..." He started drawing circles on the sand with his foot, for once not so proud of the name the islanders gave him. "Well my talents are odd...I'm known as the ice cream guy among the people, I just enjoy seeing face become all lit up when they enjoy my product or rather my ice cream...I say product because well my ice cream sounds weird...well not that weird but somewhat I guess..Ya know because it can mean, umm umm..." He stuttered into a silence and scratched the back of his head. His horns moving this way and that on the hoodie top, he loosened his scarf slightly.

Wow, was it a hot night or was just it him.

Coughing abruptly and awkwardly he crossed his arms and continued. "Yea, the word product works better. Honestly that's the only real gift I can give to the islanders my other....gifts...I'm afraid are tad to destructive and shouldn't be used in public. So I guess you could say my ice cream is a gift to the world...." He trailed off his sentence upon realization of what he said and he knocked himself on the head once for saying something so stupid.

Stupid Veara is very stupid indeed.

Post by Tsumiko Fri Apr 03, 2015 6:06 pm

It was this guy's goofy grin that got her to chuckle. And then with the circle making in the sand, Tsumiko had to hid what would have been a laugh behind a sleeved hand. The apparent innocents of some people was always heart-warming. It gave her hope that not everything out there was tarnished with sorrow and despair. Though try as she might, the more the blonde before her rambled on about why he called his wares a "product" rather than what it actually was, the more she couldn't hold back.

A laugh escaped her as he bashfully scratched his head. Again, the songstress' eyes here drawn to the two small protrusions atop his hood. Again, all she could think of was how it made him look like he had a small pair of cat ears attached to his noggin. For a moment, Tsumiko fantasized about patting the top of his head, not only to fulfill her own base desire to "pet the kitty" but to comfort him. The sound of an abrupt cough brought her out of that thought, however. Instead, Tsumiko now looked at his posture. Defensive, dismissive. She smiled at it all. From what she could tell so far, it would be all too easy to tease him and get away with it. And she could make a bet that his blushing, flustered face was to die for. Or so to speak.

Though the songstress paused once again to wonder just what this destructive "gifts" were. Could they really be gifts if one couldn't share them with friends? Though she could understand if he didn't wish to share this information with her. Everyone had their secrets. Including herself. Didn't she couldn't work it out if him given time.

"Well, Mr. Ice Cream Guy," Tsumiko flashed him a well-rehearsed smile, easily taken for one of sincerity, and held out a hand to him. "My name is Tsumiko. Tsumiko Shikami. It was quite a pleasure to meet you, as well as getting to have a small piece of your gift to the world. Just like how I want my songs to heal the soul and bring a smile to the face of everyone, I know that your ice cream - and whatever other hidden talents you may have - can do just the same."

Bonfire Blitz Empty Re: Bonfire Blitz

Post by Veara Fri Apr 03, 2015 6:38 pm

When she extended her hand while speaking her name, Veara for a moment sat there like a log with the dumb still written on his face. After a moment or so, however this disappeared from his face and the smile re-adorned his face once more. He gazed at her face and noticed the smile and how friendly it seemed, Veara found this nice. It was always comforting to see a friendly and real smile on the face of someone else. With a firm grip he shook her hand, once then twice and then a third just because why not. He noted the small details currently how his hand was much bigger then hers then again that would be somewhat expected considering their height difference.

The first thing to come out of his mouth when she finished talking was a small chuckle while he blew some air out through his nostrils. "I can assure you my gift is anything, but small." He said to her with the straightest and most honest voice anyone could ever put up infront of another. Letting go of her hand he retraced what he said within his head once. Then he said it too himself again....and again....and again.

He grabbed his hood realizing his error while a small "Shoot" came out from underneath his breath. "I didn't mean it like that, what I meant to say my other gifts are rather big, not that big.....well to be honest it is pretty big, but not in the bragging sort I mean I'm pretty sure there are many guys out there who have a big gift, just not as big as mine. An that's to say that mine isn't that huge it's just big."

He spoke trying to keep his cool, however he wasn't doing that great of a job. An boy, someone really must have turned up the air on this island because it was hot! "I mean thank you, I understand what you mean when you say you want your gift to heal the soul and that's exactly what I want my own to do. To put smiles on people's and you had a really big smile on your face earlier when you had my ice cream smeared all over your face and I thought that for that one moment when you were trying to get more out of it, that maybe just maybe my ice cream was able to make you forget about your troubles for at least that second." He spoke completely unaware of what he just even the old man playing the ukulele not that far off stopped playing for and looked over towards the scenes with a stink face of sorts. Though this would completely go over Vearas head thinking he was able to save himself and not thinking of the words he had just spoken."I got a little ahead of myself, my name is Veara, also known as the Ice cream guy, it really is great to meet you Tsumiko." Veara said smiling at her once again with stupid grin still scratching the back of his head, hoping he made a smooth comeback, however had no idea what indeed he had just spoken.

Bonfire Blitz Empty Re: Bonfire Blitz

Post by Tsumiko Tue Apr 07, 2015 11:43 pm

With his first comment just spoken, the man standing across from her received a cocked eyebrow and a coy smirk. Perhaps it was just her imagination that was telling her this guy was a totally naive kind of person, because that comment... Oh boy, that comment.

And then the deer in headlight look said otherwise...

A hand grabbed for his eared hood in what Tsumiko assumed to be a nervous habit. Though his partially shadowed face couldn't hide the quiet "Shoot..." from her keen ears. The coy smirk grew into an amused smile as the blonde's vague ramblings only further dug him into a hole. It took everything within the songstress' power to not openly laugh at the poor chap right then and there. Proper embarrassing, that would have been.

"I thought that for that one moment when you were trying to get more out of it, that maybe - just maybe - my ice cream was able to make you forget about your troubles for at least that second."

When he said this, it really made her stand back and think for a second. Did his ice cream really do this for her? Or was it of her own accord that it happened? Seeking out things to occupy her mind - however childish it might be - so that she wouldn't have to think about much of anything seemed to be the daily trend as of late. It was amusing to ponder that his ice cream was naught but another tool for her to use against remembrance. But in some way, Tsumiko could agree that his gift did help her forget, even if for only a moment.

The strumming of the ukulele coming to a halt seemed to go over her companion's head completely, but from her position Tsumiko was capable of seeing the old man and his stink eye. A dismissive stare coupled with an unsettling smile set him shaking his head, returning to his instrument. Hopefully the blonde, who finally introduced himself as Veara, did see said expression.

Giving him a far kinder, softer smile, the songstress unlaced her hand that she had behind her at that moment to adjust one of her sleeves. "Veara..." Without looking up, she repeated the name as the raised the fabric higher up her arm to its rightful place. Satisfied, silver-blue eyes flicked in his direction. With a small giggle, she said, "I kinda like that name. Very unique. So, Mr. Veara, with your secretive big gift that's not too huge and your oh so yummy ice cream, why here? Why pick this isolated little island when there's so many other places to be?"

Tsumiko bobbed back and forth on her feet as she spoke, smiling with her eyes. It was interesting to hear what people had to say about each world that she visited. Sadly, there wasn't yet many under her belt, but each one had a charm. The few she had visited had incredible stories which were shared with her from locals. Myths and legends, personal experiences and recent happenings - all were interesting to hear. and all served as inspiration.

Bonfire Blitz Empty Re: Bonfire Blitz

Post by Veara Wed Apr 08, 2015 10:11 am

Veara watched as her smile and the sudden vibes she was giving off, they had started to change. Despite the fact that she already had quite the friendly smile on her friend, her smile changed once again and to be honest even this one seemed much more friendly. Her body posture which was originally quite rigid and quite more protective, was relaxed. Her eyes themselves seemed to be smiling, perhaps Veara was much smoother then he had initially thought. Unfortunately, due to his body position Veara never find out while the older man stopped playing his ukulele. He noticed the sudden stop of the music, however he was too racked within his own brain in that current moment of time. When his name was spoken he was brought back to reality and he looked down towards her. She currently wasn't looking at him, however she was fixing one of her sleeves. Veara looked down at this slightly confused, she called his name, however she was fixing her sleeve and not even looking at him. Now this isn't what had him confused, what confused him was the simple fact that she had sleeves on her wrist that weren't connect to her shirt. Though Veara took a look at his own duds and he ended up chuckling to himself. In all honesty he was the last person to judge another's clothes. Especially after taking a second look at his own clothes. To anyone else they would probably seem eccentric, however he found his clothes to be quite good if he did say so himself.

Suddenly he was brought out of both his musings and he stopped chuckling the moment she giggled. The woman gaining his whole and complete attention. When she said that she enjoyed the sound of his name. His left hand gripped his horned hoodie and he rubbed the back of his head smiling at her. She continued to talk and he ended up nervously laughing when she brought up his gift again, however just as quick as it came, the laughter was replaced with a warm smile mentioning the ice cream he had given her. That's when she brought what many islanders in the past had asked him... why stay here? Why continue to live here of all places rather, another place. This small isolated island, when there's so much other things out there to explore.

Veara closed his eyes and he had a thinking expression on his face while he pondered this question. It's true he could expand to other worlds, however, he wasn't in this for munny. If he was in it for that he would have never had come here to begin with. Though as long as no one knew he was that strong he didn't have to worry about big threats coming to the island, and if any did come he'd be waiting for them, and he'd take them out before anything could even possibly happen. "Well I suppose it's because my big gift...well my big but not that huge gift." He spoke to her gripping his horned hoodie, however after a moment or so he sat down on the sand, padding on the sand next to him for her to sit as well if she wanted too."Well I suppose I simply consider myself the guardian of this world, I guess you could say I was kind of selfish because I gave myself the job. Though...I don't feel that selfish...I don't want to give off the wrong impression, but I'm not all skin and bones... I have powers... and these people. There extremely peaceful, while yes they do get into it every now and then and squabble, they are still good people. I don't know how to explain this, but their is an evil that is out there. An evil I refuse to allow to corrupt this island." At this moment he laid back on the sand and took in the sound of the ukulele. The sound of the children playing, the teenagers and the adults talking and joking. A large smile grew on Veara's face while he quietly began to laugh a little for a moment. "Why go anywhere else, when this place is just so great, I love it here. I may not have a family or anything like that, but ya know I feel as though I can call these islanders my family. They probably wouldn't agree and some of them would probably laugh in my face, but that's how I feel. You probably think I'm quite the strange character..." He spoke happily at first, however he slowly trailed off laughing nervously once more gripping the side of his horned hoodie. He looked over towards her and smiled at the girl. "...Or maybe you think I talk too much...I do that a lot sometimes...my bad. You have a great name, I like it." Veara spoke and he slowly started to draw back into his shell realizing how much he currently was talking and probably sounding weird as what to the girl.

Bonfire Blitz Empty Re: Bonfire Blitz

Post by Tsumiko Sat Apr 11, 2015 11:11 am

Tsumiko stopped her swaying to tip her head to the side, watching Veara as he posed in thought. He spoke, once again gripping the hood atop his head. She chuckled at what he did say, her grin reshaping into a look of intrigue as the blonde plopped down into the sand. The songstress blinked for a second before hesitantly sitting beside him, careful in the manner which she did as her short skirt needed that attention. Setting in, she then turned her head and attention to Veara who was sitting beside her.

The more he spoke, however, the more impressed she became. His "gift" was elaborated upon as powers. And he used those powers to position himself as the peoples' protector. It was noble, in a sense,  hardly selfish. And stupid, maybe? Making himself a guardian for an entire world was sure to get him killed one day. But choosing to dye a hero was most certainly better than living as a coward. The very life the songstress chosen. But the very fact that he knew of that evil, that bitter darkness lurking in the shadows, told her that he at least was somewhat knowledgeable about what was out there. Hell, he may even be able to tell her a few things as she didn't know much. That darkness scared her though, a nothingness she couldn't see through. For it wasn't necessarily the dark itself that scared her, but what may be hiding in it.

The sound of something hitting the sand drew her attention away from her thoughts and the blank stare the ocean was receiving. Looking over her shoulder, the songstress seen Veara laying there with a wide smile, chuckling to himself. As he continued to talk, the feeling that there was a gorge between them only continued to grow. He accepted all these people as his family, even if they would openly laugh at him. As for herself, a long time ago she closed that door. Letting people in allowed for the possibility of getting hurt. Losing anyone else... Tsumiko didn't know if she could handle it.

A practiced smile flashed across her lips, though the laugh that followed was genuine. "Thanks," she said in return to his compliment and gave him a playful smirk. "Though I have to agree you are strange. ...And a chatter-box... But there's honestly nothing wrong with that. Because no matter who or what you are, you should always just be yourself. There's only one you, and so trying to be someone else is a waste of precious life. So never be ashamed of the you that is true."

Tsumiko adjusted her posture to something more comfortable, turning her gaze out into the vast ocean. "I know that today is the first time we've ever met, but... Promise you'll never change. Okay?" Turning a tipped head back to him, the songstress gave him a bright smile, eyes closed. With a childish giggle, she nodded, not even waiting for Veara to respond. In a manner that was unintentionally sultry, Tsumiko gently poked his cheek with a pale finger and giggled. "Okay. Remember~! It's a promise~!" Jumping to her feet, quickly brushing off the sand, and twirling a little away from the blonde. Striking a pose as she placed her hands on her hips, the songstress leaned forward in an obviously fake display of suspicion. "You wouldn't break a promise, would you?"

Bonfire Blitz Empty Re: Bonfire Blitz

Post by Veara Sat Apr 11, 2015 1:41 pm

Even though Veara slowly was drawing back into his shell of complacency he honestly had to ask him, why? Why was he suddenly becoming so self aware of every word he was saying. He felt as though he couldn't say a word without all of the sudden being aware and asking himself again and again why had said it in the first place. He looked over at her and for a second she seemed to be mulling his words over.

That's it, game over.

She clearly did not like what he had to say and was about to call him a freak, I mean who could blame her? He just went on an entire rant about himself and not to mention his outlandish beliefs. Who would blame her if she decided to just start laugh right there I mean she would have a valid reason. Aw man, this was definitely going to suck! However, being a man Veara was he was going to take it with a straight face and simply smile when she was finished. Perhaps there was a way to save this if he simply gave a smile to her, after all a smile was the first step towards a miracle.

He had a straight monotone face for a second only because this was the only face he made when taking the gripes of another. When he turned to face her and her response he found something that made him shocked. His face changed from monotone to a small warm smile on his face and the boy for a second did something he hadn't done in awhile. He actually used his hood to cover his face, the horns were now on his forehead and slowly he pulled his hood back to be on his head regularly again.

When he heard the word 'Thanks' he nodded to her and couldn't believe that was the first word to come out of her mouth. When she began to talk each sentence struck him. Though suddenly, she said there was nothing wrong with him. He stopped thinking and looked at her, really that, that was a first. She went on to say there was only one him and he supposed that was slightly true....actually there three other him's, but they technically didn't count.

No offense to those guys...or Veara's.

Then she asked him quite the odd question. She asked him to never change...she even mentioned the fact that they hadn't known each other for that long which was true. Still laying down on the sand, he felt her poke his cheek and he felt his cheeks slightly burn up for a moment and once again he quickly not even meaning to do it covered his head once more with his horned hood. However, just as quickly he uncovered his head and his hood came flying off exposing the mop of blonde hair he had atop his head. He jumped up onto his feet and looked towards her when she asked if he would break the promise and he quickly began to shake his head no."Well I have never broken a promise before and I don't plan to start now. Of course if I'm not going to change you shouldn't change either. I mean your pretty much awesome the way you are and plus you're really, great at most things too...wait a second are you a dancer too?" He asked her and his face really had become lit up looking towards her.

The fact that Veara was so readily willing to accept their promise didn't really surprise the songstress that much. Honestly, she was expecting his immediate acceptance of a promise she forced him into. But that was fine. The blonde seemed like he needed a bit of a ego boost there. And oh boy, was he blonde. The site of the golden mop atop his noggin brought a smile to her face. The words he spoke to her, however, had the smile she wore frozen in place.

If only you knew... Tsumiko thought to herself, ready to deny his kind words. What one would have taken as modesty would have been complete honesty. The songstress never got that chance, however, as Veara asked her a question. The cracked smile melted into a bright laughter.

Walking until she stood before him, Tsumiko had her hands on her hips and a cocky grin. Leaning forward until she was as close as comfort would allow, she said in a hushed tone, "Couldn't really be a 'songstress' if I couldn't play both sides of the stage, now could I?" With a light giggle, she leaned back into what would have been a heroic pose. She debated for a moment if she really wanted to show off, but... That wouldn't have been as interesting.

With a devilish smirk, she took his hands and started spinning in circles, dragging him with her. The first part was getting someone into the mood, and slowly dragging more people in one by one. Sometimes bystanders would join on their own. It was always amusing to see how people reacted. And how well they could actually dance. Which is exactly what she does when she has enough bodies dancing about. Watching, learning, it was a process which was always amusing.

Before the poor chap got too dizzy, the songstress stopped her spinning and began dancing to the beat of her own drum. (A drum that was somewhat in sync with Sir Ukulele Man who was still sitting beside the bonfire. Hereby known as Geoffery. Of Jeff. Jeff is a good guy.) If Veara had failed to start dancing on his own at that point, Tsumiko flashed a bright, inviting smile at him in an attempt to get him going. Spinning to face the sound of laughter, she came face-to-face with a young girl, no older than five, stomping around in her little onepiece outfit with such an excited smile on her face. It was adorable! Gently taking her hands, the songstress began swaying with her. Next thing she knew, she was humming the tune of a song with no words, vocalizing the notes into sounds.

Bonfire Blitz Empty Re: Bonfire Blitz

Post by Veara Sun Apr 12, 2015 3:00 pm

With a lit up face and looking at her with a huge smile on his face, Veara was sort of excited to see what would come next. Though for a moment just for a second, Veara could have sworn he felt her smile twitch. It was almost as if her smile was...fake...but that wasn't possible...she had no reason to ever possibly give a fake smile to him. Did Veara possibly do something to her and make her feel not that great... What could he possibly do to make up for this?

Maybe he wouldn't have to do anything actually...suddenly she started to laugh and by laugh it was a real laugh. Straight from the heart this girl was laughing. Which in turn made Veara laugh a little himself, he enjoyed the sounds of other people's laughter, however Tsumiko's laughter was nice, it always started out as a giggle and then would transcend into something bigger. From the short amount of time he had been with the girl he was at least able to tell this about her.

Quickly and quietly Veara's laughter died while Tsumiko got closer and closer to his face. Suddenly when she seemed herself close enough to Veara once again a tinge of red, appeared on the boy's face not sure for a second what was about to happen. She had her hands on her hips and she was leaning towards him and in that case he slightly leaned backwards his face becoming even more red. She spoke to him while close saying she wouldn't be considered a songstress if she didn't know how to dance as well.

Veara's response to this was a quick and feverent nod of his head.

When she moved away from him a sigh of relief came from Veara's mouth, too close was too close. Granted it wasn't really a problem just that when a pretty girl was close it was quite hard to focus.

Oh how he should have kept his mind silent.

Before he was even done thinking about that, she returned and grabbed his hands and started to spin in a circle. For a moment Veara's mind would shut down as he was barely able to keep up with her and almost fell face first into the sand dragging her with him. Though a moment before that he was able to get a grip upon himself and he was able to keep with her rotation. He jumped slightly and clicked his feet in the air together while the warm breeze rippled his clothes about. He laughed along with the girl enjoying this sudden turn of events and how they were in this case somewhat dancing with one another. After a couple moments or so she let go of him and she began to dance on her own for a second. In which Veara would watch for a moment and realize he wasn't about to be outdone by a professional!

...okay maybe he was, but he still wanted to try out the dancing thing. She looked towards him and shot him a huge smile which Veara in turn returned to her. An he decided to try out this dancing on his own. So he crossed legs and added a spin and moved his arms this way and that. All the while he kept a nice smile on his face, he was extremely enjoying this and doing what he was doing. He even added a jump into the air landing one leg and then extending his other leg outwards.

He looked like a complete and total spaz, but he was a complete and total spaz that was having fun!

Looking over towards Tsumiko he saw that she was currently dancing with a younger girl who seemed to join in on the fun. Veara decided to go with a silly action. He rolled on the ground and jumped up doing a Russian dance of sorts, however while kicking his legs out he tripped over his own legs and he fell backwards onto the sand. Barely missing the tide that was ever approaching. Quickly he raised his left arm and made a thumbs up.

"I'm okay!" The boy said in a chipper voice while laughing on the ground and having more fun then he had in quite awhile.

Bonfire Blitz Empty Re: Bonfire Blitz

Post by Tsumiko Sun Apr 12, 2015 11:09 pm

At first, Tsumiko didn't notice the crazy dance moves that her new companion was laying out, being that her back was to him. And with more and more people joining, she was just enjoying the moment. It was only when her young dance partner stopped her stomping to look at Veara did the songstress turn to watch. Blinking at what she saw, it didn't take long for a wide grin to stretch across her face. For not having a clue as to what he was doing, he was pretty good. Or at least, that's what she thought until he fell, tripping over his own feet. Though with a thumbs up and a quick reassurance, Tsumiko sighed, giggling as she pranced over to him.

Holding out a hand to the blonde, she offered to help him up and doing so if he accepted. When Veara was on his feet, the songstress looked at him in thought, a knuckle placed at her chin. "Not bad for a beginner..." she mused out loud, acting as if she were evaluating him. "But I'm afraid there's no way I could take you as an apprentice," Tsumiko said with a shrug and a shake of the head. But, with a playful wink of the eye, she grinned and turned away from him, taking a few paces away.

A sultry shake of the shoulders, a practiced wiggle of the hips, and a slow raising of the hands climaxed at an intense combinations of well-timed steps and gestures. She was completely aware of the fact that he was just goofing around, and that she was just being a show off, but as the little girl stood there and watched with wide eyes, it only added to her ego. Going through the motions of a routine she made right there on the spot, she couldn't hold it in any longer. Stopping mid-step, she doubled over laughing and then looked up at Veara. This probably was the most fun she had in a very long time.

But why stop there?

Skipping to the blonde's side, Tsumiko gave him a hip bump and continued doing some sort of shaky jig. Hey Vea-kun! Try to keep up with me, hm." Each second that passed, it got a little more wild. But that was okay. Being unprofessional every once in a while was good, too.

Bonfire Blitz Empty Re: Bonfire Blitz

Post by Veara Mon Apr 13, 2015 12:51 am

Veara accept her hand and got up with her much appreciated help. Dusting the sand off his pants he noticed, that she was currently looking right at him and she had a hand to her chin. Looking up at her the smile did not break underneath her gaze, however it did twitch for a second.

She said he wasn't that bad for a beginner, this honestly made him jump in the air and click his heels together. When he landed a little bit of sand jumped up into the air, due to the fact that he slammed his feet into the ground. However, when she made her joke he smiled and sulked drooping his shoulders for a second. He noticed the wink that she had given him and he smiled at her and nodded.

She began to walk a couple paces from him, Veara wondered what she was up to for a second. Though, his question would apparently be answered very quickly. She suddenly stopped moving and she moved her shoulders quite a certain way. Next she wiggled her hips a certain way that he had never seen anyone do so before...though that wasn't the end of it. Her arms began to slowly raise while suddenly she began to go through a whole bunch of different moves. Each one turned a little more intense and Veara couldn't help, but stare.

What would have helped is if he would have stared at least with his mouth closed, however that wasn't the case. Veara's jaw dropped, all the way down. He honestly hadn't realized it was that far down for quite awhile. Her body moved so smoothly through every motion, she moves as if her body was simply water through every movement. When she stopped Veara quickly grabbed his jaw and shut his own mouth. Tsumiko seemed to double over for a second and started to laugh...crap he got caught looking.

The girl quickly skipped toward him then used her very nice hips to bump into him. Almost taken off his feet and stumbling over for a second. She asked for him to keep up an he even got a new nickname to say that he wasn't fond of it would be a lie. "Alright Tsumi, you're on!" He said with confidence that wasn't really there, however he was having too much fun to care. He attempted to follow her wild moves, of course he simply ended up shaking his butt while moving around like a spaz once again. Leaving the more advanced moves to her unable to really get the skills off to pull them and move like the water that made up her body when she danced. Veara looked towards the girl and just to play around he bended over as much as he could and jumped up into the air once then twice. "Am I doing it right." He asked while simply shaking his butt to the current beat, as anyone could see currently he was a dance master for all to behold.

Bonfire Blitz Empty Re: Bonfire Blitz

Post by Tsumiko Wed Apr 15, 2015 2:15 am

At first, all Tsumiko could do was laugh in response. Dancing there with him, a total stranger, it was the most fun she's had in quite the while. In that moment in time, she didn't have a care in the world. It was just her, Veara, and the islanders having a blast. There was no sadness here to fight, no constant reminders of what was. It was just so... carefree.

With another burst of laughter, Tsumiko looked to her side at the blonde. "Yeah! That's actually pretty good! But~!" Tsumiko was prepared to kick it up a notch to further test his ability. Not that he hadn't already proven himself. In fact, the average person would probably have needed to stop at that point to catch their breath. He didn't seem in any way ready to give up. It was a nice change of pace. "Let's see if we can do better."

The songstress could already feel herself working up a sweat, but there was no way she'd let him win without giving her all. True, it wasn't a competition, but singing and dancing were her talents. No way she'd secede without knowing she gave it her all. Increasing the tempo of their step in a way that was still in rhythm, Tsumiko didn't intend to make this easy for him.

That is, until she made quite the miscalculation.

She was unaware of just how close to the water she had gotten in all her carefree shenanigans - and how muddy the sand was getting. It wasn't a gross mud, but just soft enough to swallow whatever was placed on top. Just as Tsumiko was about to spin around, one of her feet stuck and sent her off balance with a light "AAH!". It felt like the whole world was going in slow motion as she went on a crash course with Veara. There wasn't enough time to diverge, and there certainly wasn't any way she could make it hurt less. So she did the only thing she could thin of which was close her eyes and hope for the best.

Bonfire Blitz Empty Re: Bonfire Blitz

Post by Veara Wed Apr 15, 2015 1:10 pm

Veara was a dude who was usually able to have fun, constantly he was trying to become apart of these islanders. An after awhile he was accepted whether it was through being a guardian towards the kids and watching over the various groups when they were on the ocean or on the beach. Time after time he would constantly help out the other adults with house projects, or anything that needed to be tended too. Although, it took a while and sometimes the work was indeed long and tedious.

He enjoyed it, he felt he was becoming closer to the islanders. Most of the time at the weekly bonfires, after he was out of Ice cream he would simply go and chat with the adults about what happened that week or rather play volleyball with the teens being the one guy who would constantly rotate between both teams so that it was never unfair.

Though currently with this girl he was having the most fun he had in a long time, and as he looked around the area he saw more islanders were getting into it. Old man Geoffrey now had a couple of his friends who usually would join in on the fun adding more instruments and more excitement and sound. More people began to notice and soon more people began to join. Children even adults started joining and the bonfire started to become akin to a bonfire dance, wasn't the first time it happened but it was rare when it happened. Veara couldn't help, but have his smile widen at all of the commotion.

He looked over towards Tsumiko who was still dancing her heart out and even now he could barely keep up with her. She began to speak and was talking about seeing if both of them could do even better. "Alright with me!" Veara spoke and quickly noticed her already begun to move like liquid motion once again. Once more Veara tried to keep up with her dance moves, however she seemed to be only not dancing more, however she was also upping the difficulty on her dance moves. She moved faster and faster, yet for some reason still she stayed in rhythm and continued to up the ante. Veara for a moment tried to continue dancing and made the mistake of still watching her. Although he continued to dance he decided to go for a spin on one leg. Which turned out to be quite the mistake.

He heard suddenly Tsumiko scream and when his rotation near completed he saw Tsumiko falling straight towards him. His initial reaction was to reach out and catch her, however he forgot to put his other leg down. An she came down full force and apparently Veara was also done in by the wet surface underneath them. Suddenly he felt himself slipping and unfortunately in catching her also brought her down with him. Quickly on instinct he wrapped his arms around the girl and ensure she fell down on top of him to minimize damage to her. For a moment, the air shot out of Veara and then he looked up towards the girl that was now on top of him.

Looking up towards her his face became completely red and he didn't even realize where his hands were currently located on her body. "You okay?" He asked the girl which was covered in a bunch of stutters, and um's not entirely sure how he got into this. One minute he heard her scream and the next minute they were on the floor and she was on top. In front of the islanders and he felt somewhere in the crowd of people dancing he could feel Steven's eyes fixated on him.

Uh what was he supposed to do now.

Bonfire Blitz Empty Re: Bonfire Blitz

Post by Tsumiko Thu Apr 16, 2015 6:09 pm

As their bodied collided with the ground, Tsumiko's natural instinct was to squeeze her eyes shut and draw in her hands to brace for impact. Being that Veara's grasp on her prevented that they instead latched onto the backside of his hoodie. The result being that her arms her pinned between his shoulder blades and the sand below - and unintentionally had her body pressing against his even moreso than if she were just laying on him.

Between this and the intense dancing just prior, it had the songstress' heart beating madly and was coupled with heavy breathing that she was struggling to keep under control. Even before opening a single eye to look at the blonde, she could feel a foreign heat in her cheeks. "Y-Yeah... Thanks," she said with a small nod.

Opening both eyes, Tsumiko found the struggle against more than just her breathing getting difficult. And with Veara laying on her arms, there wasn't any means for her to correct her embarrassment herself. And he didn't even seem to be paying attention to his hands! Or... hand, rather. One was placed gently at the small of her back, the other placed firmly on the underside of her skirt. Though he wasn't the only one with accidental impropriety. Upon further inspection, Tsumiko found that her bust was nearly on his face. It was at that point that she began sporadically wiggling to free herself from this unseemly predicament. She just knew that any on-lookers were going to think things that weren't necessarily true. Comically speaking, there was steam rolling from her ears, swirls for eyes. Actually speaking, she looked like a fish out of water. Whatever thoughts she had, it was a befuddled mess and nothing was very concise.

Poor Veara...

Bonfire Blitz Empty Re: Bonfire Blitz

Post by Veara Thu Apr 16, 2015 8:46 pm

Veara's mind was completely blank currently and he utterly had no idea what was going around him. One moment both him and his new found friend were dancing along with the rest of the islanders and having the most fun he ever had within the confines of the bonfire night. Honestly, this was the most fun he had in a long time this girl was able to get him to do the stupidest thing and acting like a spaz. Yet, he didn't even care he was having so much fun and he was having the time of his life currently. Though of course all things come to an end, however he didn't expect this one to come to an end so quickly.

After asking if Tsumiko was alright he went to put his head up into the air. Just to find his head collide with two mounds. Quickly he gripped both his hands, however he found that there was something currently holding both of his hands. Until, he realized exactly where both of his hands were currently located. One of his hands were currently laying upon the small of her back and pushing her small frame towards his own. His other hand was currently in a danger zone, a very incredible incredibly large danger zone. An the worst part about this moment was that he didn't even know it. He slowly slid his hand and he felt her skirt. His face had a complete tinge of red.

Turning to his head to the side feeling up once more against both of her mounds. He was able to see the faces of the islanders currently staring at him and Tsumiko who was currently on top of him. Tsumiko began to move about this way and that ontop of him similar to that of a fish. Though Veara was currently stunned. He was silent and he didn't move at all except the times when Tsumiko pushed herself into him. All he could currently focus on was the face of one of his younger worker Steven and the face of two adults near him. The two adults near Steven were soon to be distinguished as the boy's two mothers. Veara wasn't sure how long they were watching, however he noticed their faces. An currently their faces had a look of disgust. Veara noticed the girl on top of him begin to move more and more. Veara quickly began to freak out himself and he didn't know what to do...was the rest of the crowd watching...were the children he usually watched over looking at this...what about the parents at those folks...how were the islanders currently looking at him...more importantly Tsumiko was moving crazily at this point. Did she think he was attacking her. Veara couldn't take it anymore, and he wanted to disappear. Unforunately, not only did he, so did Tsumiko. Both their atoms began to decomposed and would soon recompose else where.

A moment later, in front of the ice cream shack that was lit up by tiki torches that were on the side of the road. Veara and Tsumiko appeared in the middle of the street. Veara's hands quickly went up into the air and and he pushed his head into her breasts for a second. He quickly crawled backwards away from her. Covering his he head completely with his hoodie. The two horns at the very top of the hoodie were now on the front of his face. He stood up and turned away from the girl. Sitting on top of one of the picnic benches. You could hear the boy breathing heavy and it was clear that he wasn't feeling well. ".....I'm, I'm so sorry..." Veara spoke choking on his words a little however he tried hard to hide it. "I'm so sorry.. I'm so very sorry, the beach, and the bonfire is, it's umm...that way down the road...you'd be able to get back in less then five minutes tops...I'm uhh I'm sorry I'll stay here...you won't hear or see me anymore. I'm really sorry for what I did." Veara spoke to the girl feeling very disappointed with himself and he simply sat there on the bench not forgetting the face of Steven and his mothers.

How could he have possibly allowed himself to do such a thing?

Bonfire Blitz Empty Re: Bonfire Blitz

The feeling of having her body dissolve at a molecular level was not only unexpected, but excruciatingly uncomfortable. When it happened, Tsumiko stopped her floundering to partake in a new type of panic. What was going on!? At first, her body was tingly, like everything had fallen asleep, so to speak. That feeling was quickly replaced by the feeling of self-aware nothingness. As though she were nothing but disembodied thoughts, floating through space. It lasted but a few seconds before the process began moving in reverse. As her body finished recomposing itself, Tsumiko took in a deep breath, suddenly able to inhale air once again. Even more so when a weight was lifted off her chest. It was then that she suddenly remembered what transpired only moments before all this strange feeling nonsense. Turning her eye to the blonde, she found him some paces away with his hoodie covering a good majority of his face. It was either out of embarrassment or shame ... or both. The intense heat that the songstress felt in her cheeks subsiding, it was replaced by a twisted pain in her chest. Guilt, perhaps?

It was a feeling that she thought she'd never have to feel again. And one that she wasn't going to just abandon. It would sit with her until the matter was resolved. And the more he spoke, with the poorly hidden choke to it, the more Tsumiko felt the need to right her actions. To her, what he did was nothing more than a dramatic, unfortunate accident. The option of taking his suggestion and leaving was no longer an option.

As quietly as she could, the songstress sat behind Veara on the tabletop, her back to him and her knees nestled carefully in the ring her arms made. She wanted to say something, but words escaped her. Any more of physical comforting would have just added to the tension he was feeling. At a loss as to what she could do for him, Tsumiko resorted to the only thing she was good at. Looking from the ground to the starry sky, there was the hushed sound of inhalation. And then... the sound of singing.

Tsumiko did her best to pour her emotions into the song she sung, hoping that those emotions would be felt. She just wanted him to stop feeling whatever sadness plagued him. No one should have to feel sadness.

Besides, her motto was that everyone looked better with a smile. No frowning. No sad faces. This ship ran on happy faces. No exception.

Bonfire Blitz Empty Re: Bonfire Blitz

Veara sat upon one of the benches he had out for people, and his thought process was currently less then stellar. All he could think about was all of those people he may or may not had disappointed with his actions. He didn't understand how could he let himself be so careless with his actions.

Oh boy, was he going to hear it later from the parents. Being a young adult who was known in the area, usually they were held up to an higher respect that they were intended to follow. An most of the time, not many of the younger adults would never follow that at all. Although he currently couldn't help at all the fact that the other young adults, well they were young and they deserved to go crazy and what not.

Meanwhile Veara was a kid...who... well...he was supposed to be a... guardian for this island. He was old enough, too make his own decisions and he was old enough to live on his own. Even old enough to have a successful business, yet despite all that he felt his actions earlier were just simply disgusting and...not...right.

Veara slowly began to break concentration on his thoughts. He felt something lean up against his back. An slowly he felt as though he was being lulled into a comfortable drowsy state. His current state of mind was slowly being drawn to a close as quietly he nestled against the back of the one who was singing.

He slowly had begun to realize, who it was, that was singing. He quietly nestled into her back even more and he began to close his eyes. His horned hood slowly moved to the right position. An exposed his face once again, there were signs of him possibly crying and even more his eyes were still a little red. He couldn't help, but be drawn into the sound of her music. A small smile appearing on his face.
