Levitation - Of its own will, the orb can now float in midair as long as it is near Faye (about 20 feet). It moves in sync with her hand gestures, almost as if she and the sphere were dancing together. It can be used to strike targets directly. However it costs no MP to attack with the enchanted weapon.

Elemental Augment - Faye imbues the Wisp Sphere with one primal element at the start of the battle, causing moderate elemental damage each time she attacks. It takes a 2 post cool down before she can reapply another element.

Notable Information: A creation of the fairies. Some of its power has been unlocked as Faye grows stronger. The Wisp Sphere has seemingly come to life, revealing a purple flickering flame within the clear crystal ball.[/i]

Actually, that can be an elemental buff. Doesn't need to be temporary or charge-based.

Is this a start-of-the-topic kinda thing or every time you hit someone? Also you can add a buff relative to your synthesis tier.

She would imbue the element at the start of a battle, and then the weapon would cause elemental damage for each hit. Since this is a magical weapon, would it rely on strength at all to attack with or just magic?

I would say physical attacks rely on strength, however since the buff is entirely magical as an enchantment, I can see a middle-ground between your magic and synthesis. Since it is a damage buff for the weapon itself directly. A moderate damage buff or moderate-high damage buff seems like two fair options for the sphere, up to you though.
