The Power of Wonderland (Private, Alexander)

Alexander was a bit of a ditz to say the least of it. And sometimes, his late-night romps through the Castle of Dreams ended with less-than-satisfying results. Alexander did not sleep and it was fairly strange. For some unknown reason, he simply did not require sleep. However, everybody else around him did.

Nobody really knew of Alexander's strange quirk. They always fell asleep, after all. His mother knew about it, and it drove her to almost endless madness due to lack of sleep some nights. Usually it was due to her literally worrying herself awake, but other times Alexander would provoke her awake with his late-night activities.

This night he romped through the forest with the Kyroo trio- Alexander didn't know their relation to one another. One was a chef, and always carried around a frying pan. He wore a chef's hat too, and his unique orange color made him highly visible in the forest. Alexander crept upon him from behind a tree, leaping around it and shouting as he tackled it.

With a startled croak it his the ground and rolled with Alexander as he laughed, leaves rustling beneath the ground. It ended with Alexander pinning the Chef to the earth, and smiling atop it as stared forward. "Got you," he told it cheerfully, standing up and releasing it. They both dusted themselves off as they got to their feet, trading glances and laughter.

"Alright, now you have to help me look for the other two!" The Chef Kyroo nodded, starting to scan one direction while Alexander scanned the other. In the distance they heard rustling, and turned to each other. They very silently nodded and started to creep towards the source of the noise, two tag-assassins in the dead of night.

They crept upon the second member of the Kyroo family- good Sir Kyroo. He was a swordsman of sorts, though not quite as good as what Alexander assumed to be the eldest of the trio. Like his younger brother, Chef Kyroo, Sir Kyroo was very orange indeed. Despite his best efforts to disguise himself under a loosely arranged pile of leaves and sticks, Alexander and Chef set upon him nearly immediately.

"Tag! You're on our team now Sir Kyroo!" It burst up from the leaves, shaking the two of them off as it dusted itself from the foliage. Once more, Chef and Alexander had to do the same. While Chef and Alexander laughed, Sir restrained itself. Out of the group, it was the most competitive Alexander had noticed. It didn't like loosing, and seemed to frown.

"Aw, don't be like that Sir Kyroo," Alexander assured. Chef Kyroo also attempted to ease its brother's worry, croaking at it calmly. "You haven't lost- you're on the winning team now! If we find Lord Kyroo before the sun comes up, the three of us win!"

Sir Kyroo perked up a bit at mention of beating its elder. Without hesitation it nodded and set upon searching, the three of them looking all over the forest together. Minutes passed. An hour, and still no sign of Lord Kyroo. He would be the most difficult to locate, seeing as compared to the other two he was light green- great for hiding in trees.

That was when Alexander got the bright idea. "Sir, Chef, what if he's in the trees? He's green. He matches, especially in the dark."

The two Kyroo's looked at one another with enthusiasm and glee. They nodded and immediately began to scramble with Alexander up the tree. Alexander was ahead of them, above them as he grabbed the branches and rustled the leaves. "Kyroo! Lord Kyroo!" He kept calling the name as though it would return an answer, when finally, very far up the tree he grabbed a bad branch.

Snap.

Alexander's lost grip saw him falling on top of his friends, plunging towards the ground with them as they surged down the length of the massive tree. Alexander shivered with fear as he shouted, "No!" Below them a flash of gray and white appeared, and suddenly they were falling sideways.
