The moogle had made sure to float a good distance from the two participate. Gave it the heebie-jeebies, they did. Catching the coin as it descended, it smacked it on to the back of his hand. Nervously looking from one to the other, it removed its hand to reveal the coin.

"Tails, kupo~ G-Good luck and may the best m- er... battler win!" Quickly, the fluttering moogle was gone in a flash of glimmering space.

Summer Tournament: Marigold vs Zulu Empty Re: Summer Tournament: Marigold vs Zulu

Post by Changeling Tue Aug 11, 2015 12:31 pm

"Game." As soon as the fight started, Zulu disappeared in a puff of smoke. At the same time, two sets of rifles shot out from the tree line, laying down fire on Marigold's team, one from their seven, and another from their three. Zulu would fight this battle from afar, knowing he would have trouble fighting a team of three head on. He appeared on a treetop at their six, and join in on the firing squad, aiming his rifle at Schwartz. He shot a few rounds which were boosted by the Yamato, making his bullets seem like they've been fired from a railgun, which was true in a sense.

But the one on top of the tree was not Zulu. No, he was watching from a safe distance, blending into the foliage. I fail to see how this will win us the tournament, Nyx scoffed into the cyborg's mind.

Patience. Keep them separated.

Summer Tournament: Marigold vs Zulu Empty Re: Summer Tournament: Marigold vs Zulu

Post by Marigold Darkson Tue Aug 11, 2015 6:31 pm

At the first sign of seeing the man disappear into a puff of smoke, Marigold had set out on rapidly producing blood cells and quickly started to her blood to pool out from under her. Very quickly, the space around her and her two companions had been covered in the sanguine substance, which also coated the bottom of their shoes. The Queen's ears were glued to their surroundings and the ruffled leaves of treetops and the sound of bullet fire, allowed her to set up her defensive parameters. A dome of thick, hardened blood, with a consistency that rivaled many layers of steel, had come up over Ysl and Marigold. They were completely shielded and blocked from view. The meanwhile that this happened, the blood continuously pooled beneath the trio and started to spread outward at a steady pace, it seemed like the blood around them began digging... Along with her blood, Marigold's aura had taken a hold over the battlefield and as such, any and all opponents within her sphere of influence (150 feet) had their stats and effectiveness drained at a slight rate.

When covered by the dome of hardened blood, Ysl'Dae took this opportunity to stab her blade in the ground. Within 100 feet, the entire area became a soft and quicksand like dune of sand, that had spread. The very ground had become too unstable for the trees to simply stand upright and those that were already weakened at their base, started to topple among themselves. This created a domino effect, in which the strong trees were being leaned on by the more weaker trees, which caused their bases to further buckle beneath the sand. As such, all trees within this area were in the process of being tumbled over or were already tumbled over. Given that Zulu had to be within a specific range to continue monitoring them with all of the trees in the forest, he no doubt was close enough to have his sudden advantage taken away.

Schwartz, with her speed that she knew her opponents could barely keep up with, immediately dove back into the trees that started to topple over at the start of the battle, in order to hide from view.. With her guile, she was able to take advantage of any environmental situation. The woman had hid herself from view and while doing so, she had memorized exactly where each sound had came from, along with the bullets that aimed towards her and her comrades. Her body had exhilarated itself and relaxed her muscles, which allowed them to strengthen a bit. The petite assassin's body was a lot speedier now and as such, she performed a series of quick hand-signs and summoned three perfect clones of herself. They shared in her stats, plus a few others and as such, they were all equally fast. The trio started off with a flanking maneuver, as they traveled in a circle towards their targets. One went over to the rifle that shot from Marigold's three, while two traveled loosely together around the seven and the six, to deal with the other clones. The original Schwartz herself, had been on a speedy recon to search for the original Zulu and had taken to the trees that weren't toppled and traveled along their higher parts. Her steps were quick, yet light as to not set off any sudden sounds.

Summer Tournament: Marigold vs Zulu Empty Re: Summer Tournament: Marigold vs Zulu

Post by Changeling Wed Aug 12, 2015 11:38 am

Interesting people you work with. Such destruction in such a short time frame. Zulu made his feet a bit wider in order to keep himself from sinking on the quicksand. Given his experience with stealth, he wasn't hindered by his change when he weaved around the falling trees while making little to zero noise. He once again hid himself once the danger of getting squashed had gone, adding more distance between Goldie and himself.

Nyx knew of the separated member of Marigold's team, and made sure she wasn't anywhere nearby while they had been evading the trees. Zulu shifted to blend his colors to nature. With Nyx' Hunter senses, the two of them pinpointed where Marigold was, as well as her little assassin. Four ports opened silently on Zulu's chest, from which two pairs of circular devices protruded out. He pressed a button on each to prime them, and in a second, they warped out. Two of his Shock Charges warped in the air inside Marigold's dome, and instantly exploded, not even taking the time to be touched by blood, sending two sets of shrapnel and large jolts of electricity into the space to fry the competitors.

One of the shock charges appeared before one of Schwartz' clones, the one going after a fallen Echo (decoy firing from the six), and exploded in the same manner, as did another that appeared in front of the original only a fraction of a second later. The two mirrored heartless had stopped firing to brace for the crashing trees, but resumed firing, until their allotted assassins were already nearby, which caused them to do a tumble to the side and fired. Nyx kept track of every soul and non-soul on the battlefield, so even if the assassin's clones were as quiet as a vacuum, she couldn't hide. That went for Marigold and Ys... Ysld... Ysl'Dae! There we go.

Echo, under Zulu's direction, switched to Null rounds and open fired on the dome, still using a Yamato replica on the Vixen replica to do as much damage as it could before it met its inevitable demise. At the very least, he would have shot out fifteen shots at the dome, which would suffer quite a bit of damage as the Null rounds were specifically designed to break this sort of barrier.

Summer Tournament: Marigold vs Zulu Empty Re: Summer Tournament: Marigold vs Zulu

Post by Marigold Darkson Wed Aug 12, 2015 4:38 pm

Marigold and Ysl'Dae, were indeed inside of the blood dome at one point, but that wasn't the case any longer. Zulu had focused a good bulk of his attacks upon the queen and her companion, but he were firing at ghosts. However, the woman wouldn't make his efforts for naught. The minute the dome was destroyed, he were introduced to the cloned bodies of Mari and Ysl. These clones had melted into the blood pool, the very same blood pool that had been growing and growing, which now encompassed beyond the 100 foot radius of the sand dune and had continued to expand at a rapid pace. Not to mention, when Schwartz had created her clones, they shared in the bloody footwear they wore and had been spreading the blood even farther than what could have been anticipated. Not only this, but Mari had changed the blood's composition to become highly acidic now. The blood began to melt away and burn down the trees, but in a more contained manner. She made sure to get rid of any hiding advantage for her opponent.

Marigold had rapidly dug underground and ended up digging her way through a few inches of dirt, along with Ysl'Dae. While her blood pool grew at an alarming rate, she too decided to have some fun with all of this. Now, she knew Zulu was going to try his hardest to stick to his range and with his ability to make clones from what she witnessed, she'd need to strengthen her numbers as well. Fair enough. During the time he focused his shots on the dome, Marigold had been mass producing clones of her and Ysl'Dae, down to the very DNA. How was this possible? Ysl allowed for an assimilation of her blood into Mari's and thus, the process went faster. While they hid, the queen had managed to replicate 5 versions of both of them. Now these were at their weakest stats (mere decoys, really), but they were perfect in every other way.

Ysl'Dae, to help herald the swarm, had performed her Schism attack, which caused an earthquake both underground and on the surface. To give an idea of her location, she and Mari traveled alongside the original Schwartz and had stopped about midway to her. That was where their clones were made and now where the earthquake was to occur. Once more, in which the way Ysl used the move, she had disrupted the trees of the forest once more through the earthquake, as well as destroying the ground around them and created a giant hole, which allowed the clones to run out in specified directions. The destruction had kicked up a large amount of dust and would hopefully serve to cloud up the vision of her opponents to some degree, while the rest of her team moved out. This earthquake also echoed throughout the entirety of the battlefield and no doubt served to uproot even more trees and further limit the cover Zulu had hoped to cling to. She and the real Marigold ran loosely with the clones, as they aimed to regroup with Schwartz.

Schwartz and her clones had remain on the offensive, as they hounded the clones created by Zulu. The shock charges were a bit of a surprise, however, these measures were to be accounted for, as a possible split up was to occur with their type of opponent. The clone that went after Echo, had nearly met her end, but thankfully, Marigold was able to monitor her with the blood on her being and managed to construct a blood-like shield, that helped protect against the bulk of the explosion, but she managed to take a few licks. This, however, didn't stop her attack completely. The clone had believed that the woman was dealt with and had resumed with attacking the dome, but left itself completely open to the onslaught of rapid slashes, that the clone was able to dish out with its speed and strength. Each blade went for a kill shot on the body of Echo. The remainder of the clones, were at a bit of a disadvantage when it came to their tumbling. Considering that they hadn't necessarily moved out the range of the sand-dune and the fact that the trees weren't that wide and didn't have much platforming to begin with, the Zulu clones would inevitably fall into the quicksand-like arena.

The Schwartz clones would capitalize on that and with their speed, managed to avoid the rounds that came their way, before they charged forward and unleashed their timed assaults upon the vitals of the Zulu clones. The original Schwartz herself, had only just the fraction of a second, to see the shock charge in front of her. She swore under her breath, but didn't let that shake her up. The petite assassin quickly hopped back from the tree and crossed her arms to protect her face and a bit of her midsection. However, what she didn't realize was that Marigold's blood had formed and created a shield to take the bulk of the damage, while she were just blown away from the blast. Easily enough, the original recovered and grabbed hold of a tree trunk, before she swung herself up and started to move once more. Something told her she were getting closer to their original opponent.

Summer Tournament: Marigold vs Zulu Empty Re: Summer Tournament: Marigold vs Zulu

Post by Changeling Thu Aug 13, 2015 6:06 am

They are getting close now. Arm yourself. Nyx cautioned, detecting the number of their enemies further increasing. However, there was a definite lack of heart on most of them. Pathetic clones it seemed. Interestingly enough, the battlefield was changing in a pace that was much faster than anticipated.

The heartless clones of her host were having a hard time dealing with the little assassin's own, and it seemed they had wasted some precious time assaulting an empty shelter. No matter. There was enough time to break through. Their cheeky little tricks won't get them out of every situation. Now... Wait, what? The ground suddenly quaked, and they took that as their signal to evacuate. The dust cloud served to hide them while Zulu made something to get them off the ground. A simple set of wings with an impressive span extended from his back. The mechanics of the wings were easier to create than some would think, but it functioned beautifully. He rose up to the sky with a heavy flap to pull himself out of the danger zone. He couldn't see any of their enemies below, but with Nyx, he didn't have to.

Echo had fallen to a clone, and his replicated items disassembled to free up space. The mirrored clones were much more durable and quicker than the decoy, and even though they stumbled on the quicksand, they managed to attack their assailants, shooting them when they got out of range, and punched and kicked when they were close enough. They would go down fighting. They shrugged off the strikes, despite the damage they took, and continued their attack. The enemy clones were indeed much faster and stronger than they were, but the mirrors were much more suicidal in their attacks. As they fought, it would become clear that the mirrors weren't all cheap. They had Zulu's fighting finesse when it came to close quarters combat, and at one point, both of them threw down their weapons--or rather, threw their weapons at the enemy clones--to engage in a close-up dance to the death.

Up on high (200 meters in the sky), six ports opened up on Zulu's chest, and he once again sent out a few gifts for the enemy. Two warped out to deliver their deadly load on the clones fighting the mirror heartless, while the other two warped around the field below, spaced generously, to explode upon Marigold and her blood clones, with the last Shock Charge warping behind the original Schwartz. Like before, they would explode upon appearing, sending shrapnel and high voltage out.

A second torso appeared below Zulu, all black and featureless, holding and aiming Bloodletter down below while the Nanosoldier himself had Vixen out. Once the charges exploded, they open fired at the clouded mess, while keeping their speed high to avoid being sitting ducks. Zulu had the Null rounds equipped to break through any shields Marigold put up. He and Nyx were firing at the Queen, using the heartless symbiote's heightened senses to pinpoint her location, specifically, with the help of her own precious heart, which her blood clones could not copy. Oh, and see those reddish smoke trails from the bullets? Those have added punch.

Somewhere, there was a stirring in the areas untouched by blood and quicksand. Red eyes were awaiting patiently for their turn to join in on the hunt.

Summer Tournament: Marigold vs Zulu Empty Re: Summer Tournament: Marigold vs Zulu

Post by Marigold Darkson Fri Aug 14, 2015 5:04 am

Marigold's blood had been extremely vicious and rapid with its expansion, the area having grown with her blood quite quickly. She had been rapidly accelerating the cells and soon, from where Zulu hovered, he'd be able to see how much her influenced had spread a great about of the forest of where they started off, in such a short amount of time. This control over the battlefield had only worsened and spread, due to the fact that the clones, plus the original Schwartz, had in a sense, left bloody tracks that too had spread at a horrendously fast pace over the course of time.

When the dust had kicked up, Zulu had been put in the situation where he finally revealed himself. This was seen when it the dust began to settled, with Marigold and co. able to watch the winged man as he hovered up above the rest of them. His moves and intentions would more than likely be telegraphed from where he was, considering that there were only a few targets that he could really choose from. Not only this, but Mari herself had contingencies for damn near any ranged situation the man attempted to throw at her. She indeed remembered his instant warping bombs and his ability to accelerate the speed of his bullets quite nicely. All of these aspects about her opponent were noted and she made sure that everyone in her party were reminded of them.

The clones themselves, had very little time left and thus, when it came to the suicidal attempts of the Zulu clones, they made sure to exploit every opening the things offered. Whenever the man's clones tried to shoot, the Schwartz clones would utilize their speed and agility to make quick strafes, with well executed jumps to get around their prey. Interestingly enough, their opposing force had no intention of simply giving up and even went in for close combat with the remainders. This proved to be exceptionally dangerous, however, for the assassin's clones were well-versed in cqc and the valiant try from her opponents was noted. Whenever they were open, a dagger came in to punish. With agility, speed and strength, they showed that even though Zulu's clones weren't cheap, they themselves were still a cut above the rest. Their aim was to kill all clones before their time ran out and push the numbers game to their master's side. This more than likely case, as they continued to fight over the sand/blood arena and with much interference from occasional quick and precise blood-strikes from the bloody pool, this furthered the pressure put on the man's clones.

Wings? Two can play at that game and they would. When Marigold viewed that the man's chest had opened up and revealed his ports, she swore under her breath. A snap of her fingers resounded and with the thankful spacing of the clones, alongside the distance between she, Ysl and Schwartz, she had positioned herself in the position to have the clones expand and grow extremely dense, in-between the shock charges and their intended targets (not the clones who fought the mirrored clones, though). When the explosions, shrapnel and high voltage charge went off, several of the clones (6 in total from the original 10) had been sacrificed to ensure that the group would have been protected from such a sudden attack. They weren't necessarily in the clear yet, but Mari didn't dare relent just yet.

The Queen had pushed forward and had utilized shields from the remains of the clones to protect her and her teammates. Unfortunately for their opponent, his anti-barrier/shield rounds wouldn't work against the organic composition of her blood. This meant that with how dense the blood shields were (their density is on par several layers of thick steel), the bullets still continued to have an even harder time with penetrating through, but they were definitely making dents. However, she wouldn't allow the man to have any ranged advantage any longer. She delegated him to the skies and that was where she'd make her offensive. Using the remaining four clones, Marigold attached them to the backs of her, Schwartz and Ysl, to form a pair of bloodied wings. She designed them with fast and nimble flight in mind, so the three managed to take off as soon as they were constructed. Once in the air, the three had ascended up to the 200 meters their opponent had and leveled the playing field.

It was their turn to attack and Schwartz would be the first to go. Right on cue, the petite, blue-haired assassin had snapped her fingers and created a slow field around her opponents instantly. This slow field was special, in the way that it affected both ally and foes alike. The radius was 50 feet and halved any speed from her opponents or allies. Speed taken from her opponents would be bestowed upon her or her allies, thus making them faster than their opponents regardless. Even though she hadn't physically attacked herself, Mari had manipulated her blood wings to send out a total of 30 fast, bullet-like blood spikes towards the mercenary and jab viciously at him.

Because of the fact that the blood wings were apart of her manipulation, Marigold had decided to utilize the presence of her partners to help further her barrage. Along with her aura that was passively draining both Nyx and Zulu of their stats (if they're close enough), Mari unleashed a torrent of bloody, high-density, bullet-like projectiles, from all the wings on her and her party members. This meant that Zulu was faced with up to 30 spiked blood bullets from Marigold, that aimed to shred and stab into him with good speed and measure. Should he have been slowed down by the slow-field, he'd no doubt have an incredulous predicament on his hands.

Ysl'Dae, had decided to under, then up and around to the back of her airborne opponent, but did so at a lower altitude. She traveled in this pattern to allow the 30 spiked blood pellets to cover the underside of the man and cut off an escape route to the ground below and back, if he had one. Her sword and shield were drawn close to her the entire time, just in case the man had attempted to shoot at her, if his focused wavered over to her.

Skill Used:
Slow Field- Schwartz designates and instantly creates a warped area of time 50 feet in radius. Opponents and allies caught in this will have their speed cut by half the amount and whatever speed taken from them, will be transferred to all of her allies her pass into it. This field lasts for two posts and goes on a 4 post cool down after use.

Summer Tournament: Marigold vs Zulu Empty Re: Summer Tournament: Marigold vs Zulu

Post by Changeling Sat Aug 15, 2015 9:36 am

True, the clones were a little out of it, but they were, at the moment, simply there to keep the assassin's clones busy. The two Schwartz clones were in a bit more danger than what was apparent. As they fought, a much more familiar form of heartless jumped out of the ground through dark pools, viciously slicing up as they did so. The mirrored heartless, although pretty much on their last legs, didn't stop their assault. They were badly hurt, true, but they were tireless. The mirror clones and the Neoshadows worked together to put their targets down, but the latter form of heartless would be much more conservative with their attacks, using the shadows pools to relocate above, under, or to the side of the assassins after every attempt at hitting them. The clone that shut down Echo hadn't been forgotten either, as Nyx kept track of her as well.

Oh you've got to be kidding me. Nyx wasn't very happy to see their enemies taking to the skies. Zulu on the other hand... Nyx could feel he was a little too eager to fight. He changed the wing's design slightly, turning the edges razor sharp, and extending the farthest edge to twice his arm length.  I guess it's time then...

The ports would open again, and the charges would appear before their main targets. Schwartz, Ysl'Dae and Marigold would have two warping at their locations each and detonating. That was all there was to do, really.

Or was it?

One of those charges were marked with Pigeon, and when it warped out with the rest of the batch, Zulu soon followed to avoid the bloody projectiles, leaving three innocuous butterflies where he previously was, which fluttered off harmlessly. Zulu reappeared behind Ysl'Dae by chance (the real one), and when the electricity from the charges discharged, he went to work. His body was now coated in darkness that gave him a heafty boost to his agility. He also wielded two katanas in his hands, which he used to slice at Marigold's guardian. Both blades were crackling with electricity, expended reddish smoke, and should either one hit the serpentine woman, she'd receive a huge shock to stun her where she was. Likewise, if she managed to hit Zulu, she'd still receive the same treatment. The shock he received from the the charges he let off at his target refreshed his energy reserves back to full.

The blood was still a problem though, so he made sure to create a sort of second shell overlay over his body to avoid it getting into his system. He was willing to sacrifice some Nano to get up close. This shell wasn't just a petty thing as well. Three fireballs also fired towards the snake woman, courtesy of Nyx.

Summer Tournament: Marigold vs Zulu Empty Re: Summer Tournament: Marigold vs Zulu

Post by Marigold Darkson Sun Aug 16, 2015 6:06 pm

The clones had been long gone, when the Neoshadows attempted to jump in with the attacks. Little did they realize, they were fighting the wind at this point. However, they also neglected the fact that Marigold's blood had been dealing damage to them on the side, when they still fought with the Schwartz copies before. This meant that while the clones were on their last legs, the blood had enough of the density and strength to effectively and hopefully, end the clones, with a barrage of rapid stabs to heads, chest and limbs of the mirrored clones. This blood, much like the blood that had been slowly melting down the trees the entire time, were acidic in nature and aimed to corrode away at all forms of life, that weren't with the Darkson's. The Neoshadows, though, were also going to deal with this threat that grew continuously and was now beginning to make up a good majority of the forest floor at this point. With that said, jaws of acidic and corrosive blood, that could harm even the bloodless Heartless, were jumping up quickly and with seemingly everlasting range, as they aimed to devour the creatures whole and melt them down.

Zulu was in quite the predicament, standing still after Schwartz had summoned her Slow-Field. When he decided to chase down Ysl, who was only a good 25 feet below him, was still in the influence of Schwartz's slow field. His light shows were good for entertainment, but now he was in a rather bad situation. With he and Nyx both caught in the field, their speed was effectively halved and had accumulated, only to be added to the snake-woman's own speed. Sure, hers was halved as well, but with their speeds added to hers, she was twice as fast as them (Nyx's speed has been reduced to 1.5 and Zulu's down to 1, this gives Ysl 2.5 speed, on top of her .5 for a total of Tier 3 speed now. This is all counted by tiers, by the way). This gave her the speed necessary to get out of range of the explosive electricity, but to instantly (instantly to them, giving their reduced speed stats) close the distance around and behind her opponents. She came in with a fearsome set of swings from her large broadsword to the man's back. Her strikes were angled to the degree of where it made most dodges extremely hard to pull off, in eight-way direction flight.

Marigold ha already been able to seen the telegraph whenever Zulu was going to release the charges. The ports always opened and there was always a warp. Due to how much she had been exposed to the technique, she immediately urged her and her compatriot to continue moving. Thanks to the freedom flight allowed, she ascended higher into the air to avoid a good bulk of the electricity and widened her wings to flap over her body and take whatever shrapnel flew at her, after doing so she took her perch observing the battle between Ysl and Zulu, but decided to interrupt on that end. The blood projectiles she shot out, after they were dodged by Zulu, she arced them around and had them fly on back. However, before they were within range, she combined them to form a large ball of the crimson liquid. This ball started to grow larger in size, before it expanded and formed a large, wide-spread blob, that started to take a more circular effect similar to a large mouth. The blood shot out by Ysl's had flown straight upward, but immediately came back around to wrap around the two fighters. Ysl would be otherwise unharmed by Marigold's blood, due to her smooth manipulation of the substance, but Zulu, would be enveloped by a constant damaging and acidic liquid, that aimed to burn through his defenses and get to him directly.

Schwartz coated herself in lightning and flew forward. Her Deadly Acceleration allowed her move as fast as lightning and she easily passed through her own Slow-Field, without much problems at all. The woman's plan wasn't to strike her opponent, only gain the benefit from them (Schwartz speed is halved to 1.5, but is increased to Tier 4 after the additions). The assassin had now been on the other side of the both Ysl and Zulu, but was otherwise out of her own skill. From there, she allowed Marigold to unleash yet another barrage of blood-like projectiles, that before going to their mark, had began to form a giant, blob-like mass of crimson-red liquid, that formed the maw of a great mouth. The three aimed to trap the man in the air and punish his mistakes.

Summer Tournament: Marigold vs Zulu Empty Re: Summer Tournament: Marigold vs Zulu

Post by Changeling Tue Aug 18, 2015 10:49 am

It would have been unwise to assume that the normally mindless heartless were ignoring the fact that the blood were damaging them. It was a sacrifice that needed to be made to know exactly how much it was going to hurt when either Zulu and Nyx were caught with the blood. Realizing that the clones were already gone, the Neoshadows switched targets. With Zulu on Ysl, the heartless duo dove into their portals and appeared slightly above Marigold. If the mirrored ones were still alive at this point, they would have shot upwards to provide a little more damage. Unfortunately, it was their time to go. So that left the two somewhat basic soldiers of darkness to slash at Marigold. However, they'd cling on to her whatever it took, and if she pushed them off, they would have just used their portals to grab at her again. If they successfully grabbed her, they'd use a claw to attempt to get her.

(Note that due to Nyx' ability, "Linked," Schwartz' field will only take from either one of them. I'll let you have the 1.5 :3)

The slow wasn't so demeaning, just a little bit of an annoyance, really. Their attack was a double edged sword to their opponent. Sure, they might get hit, but the one who hit them would have been hurt in the process, one way or another. The slow field wasn't exactly deducting half of their speed. Thanks to Zulu's Negator Shield, Schwartz' field took a moderate amount less of their speed. However, Zulu and Nyx both feigned surprise when Ysl went behind them and struck her sword into Zulu's back. This, of course, would release Zulu's Yamato Cube's electrical charge, instantly traveling towards the woman through her sword, which was locked into Zulu's body, the nanites digging into the weapon and gripping into the smallest nook and cranny. The charge itself would damage her moderately and stun her for a few seconds. After the discharge, Nyx appeared on Zulu's back and shot out half a dozen Kunais attached with a thin Nano cable at Ysl, aiming to further damage her. Should the blades hit, tiny hooks on the edges would have spread out to grip at her flesh and armor.

As Nyx was doing her own attack, Zulu kept an eye on the little surprises he released beforehand, as well as the bloody projectiles that he had dodged before. When the giant bloody blob with a mouth opened its.... well, mouth, Zulu looked left and right in panic, before his eyes met with Schwartz', who attempted to keep him where he was. With blades still in hand, Zulu shrugged, as if accepting defeat. "Adios." And just like that, he was engulfed by the maw, being churned up and converted into another batch of blood. For Marigold to use.

Oh wait...

On the spot where one of his butterflies were hovering, ignored, there was a flash of smoke just above Marigold as Zulu reappeared, unscathed and immediately slashing downwards with his dual katanas, still charged with darkness, wildfire, and electricity. As Zulu rotated due to the swing, he used his wings to keep himself on Marigold. With Nyx still on his back, she also sliced downwards with another two other katanas in both hands, both with the same charges as Zulu's, as her host angled himself to allow her to attack. Her katanas were much longer in order to better reach the blood queen. It wasn't likely Schwartz could have reacted so soon, and Ysl would still have been stunned. For a moment, it was just Zulu and Marigold. Before they flashed away, Nyx pinpointed and made sure that this was indeed Marigold by sensing her heart. Not a blood clone to take the fall. Two ports opened, and a pair of Shock Charges warped behind Marigold, exploding with Nano, shrapnel and electricity. The electricity that hit Zulu would have been absorbed and shot out towards the Queen.

The damage from Ysl was already healing up nicely.

Post by Community Moogle Wed Aug 19, 2015 11:03 am

The moogle returned to the field in a glittery patch of warped space, quietly fluttering beside the soldier. With a hand raised in his direction, the moogle made it's announcement. "This concludes the third round of this bracket. Battler Zulu has been declared the winner of this close match, kupo!~ Congratulations!"

Zulu wins T5: Round Three.
