Hikari Masamune
Name: Hikari Masamune
Age: 20
Personality: Hikari Masamune is a boy with a kind heart yet a pragmatic one. During his ascension to the throne he was taught that sacrifices must be made for the many; learning to value peace and the lives of others over himself. Though he can appear cold at times he does it all for his people and his friends -- making tough choices when no one else can. Just because good is not nice doesn't mean it's a dick though. Hikari, when not dealing with problems and the sort, is rather laidback. He's a passionate and creative soul with somewhat of an absent mind but a charisma and burning will that makes up for it all. Of course, that's only one side of him. When around friends he's often a lot less charismatic -- being rather shy and timid. Though he can inspire the masses he doesn't do it casually; being an insecure nervous wreck deep down. Regardless though, Hikari is always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need and is more than willing to step up to the challenge when he needs to.
To sum it all up, Hikari is your typical guy with a smile on his face and goodwill in his heart. Just don't fuck with him... Ever. No, seriously. Don't.

- "I'm so sick of it all..."
The girl spoke to herself silently on the throne of the dead. A crown laid on her head and ruins laid in her waste; her clothes stained a dark red and a frown on her face. Flames burnt up around her -- waste laid to everyone and everything that had stood in her way. In fact, it was somewhat funny. The old King was viewed as weak for being unable to stop the monster... and when she donned a similar role the new one fell to her just like his kingdom. But see, that was the thing with this sinful universe. The righteous were gunned down for their supposed lack of courage and in their place came a hypocritical puppet. It made her sick but then again that was simply the way life worked. No good deed went unpunished; all heroes died in the end and were written off either as pathetic weaklings or monsters. History rewrote the truth so very much because history was naught but more than a made-up fairytale of what happened composed by the victor. And, since no hero could truly be a victor, it was naturally written in disdain of them and would go on to praise their murderers. It's why she was glad she wasn't a hero. Still though... she was all doing this for someone who was. Someone who had been taken from her before she could meet him all because he had to play the good guy. He stood up to injustice and died -- nothing abnormal. But something still made knots twist in her stomach at this scenario; a throbbing feeling in her throat present. For a moment or two she wasn't sure why but then it hit her: the conclusion she had been reaching was much more horrifying than she had been making it out to be in her mind. The universe WAS SINFUL. It was filled with injustice to the brim that she could dismiss it casually -- to the point that she could merely yawn it off and think the deed was done. Such a universe was allowed to exist and was even what he had fought trying to save in a burst of naivety. And finally, she realized it all. She realized why that monster was trying to destroy this universe in the first place. It was because it was filled with such hatred and cruelty. The tables had been turned on him and he had been killed just like the hero. They were both champions of justice; led to clash against each other by the strings wrapped around them. All so that some kid could swoop in and take everything they owned... It was disgusting!"Well then why don't you do something about it like you did here?"
The voice slithered into her ears like it had the first time she had heard it. Yes; she knew this man. He was the one who had helped her bring justice to this place. He had granted her the power needed to get rid of its sin; a very ironic matter. Two figures, their existences viewed as a bane to the respective heavens above, became the true judges; the true messiahs and deities. Yet another thing history had gotten wrong -- how they had been written off. She'd make sure to correct that too."It won't do any good. It won't bring him back.""Ah... My child. It will though. Merely listen and I shall tell you what to do."
And so the figure explained it. He paced around the throne; making passionate hand gestures and filling her head with the whispers of truth that liberated her from her hopelessness. It all made sense now -- that relic. It was the true union of world and heart alike; the key to everything. If his heart was out there this x-blade would include it... and with it she'd have the power to liberate it in theory. After all, ultimate power in her hands should in theory allow her to do anything. So without a second thought she agreed -- being blessed once more with his power.
In order to create it she needed to find someone of equal power; the light to the darkness she now submerged herself in -- the yin to her yang. Unfortunately, she had no method of doing that. Even if she did she didn't have the kind of weapon her father had and was unsure of whether or not it would have worked. The best substitute, taking into account such matters, would be to find two who possessed the needed criteria. For a moment or two she pondered over exactly where to find these individuals and then... she realized something. All that was needed were two keybladers of light and darkness whom were of equal power. So thereby she didn't need to search for anyone -- rather, she merely needed to get the hearts of everyone and balance out the power. After that she could create two new beings entirely for this purpose. It all made sense -- the perfect plan. With the strength of her benefactor she could easily do it; harness the hearts needed for it. First she needed a method though; a method to stop the hearts from getting away. There had to be a way. And she found that way in the beings known as the Heartless; the darkness that held the captive heart within it after death. Within them was a natural way to hold hearts prisoner within the shells they called bodies; a way to store them and keep them away from joining Kingdom Hearts. The answer stared right in front of her -- all she had to do was research the Heartless and see if she could replicate this ability in some form.
Months of observation were conducted; analyzing the smallest details of heart harvesting and containing from afar followed by attempts to replicate it with her own darkness. They continually failed but eventually the girl made a breakthrough; finally containing a heart within herself successfully. With notes on how to replicate it she sought to making shells to house them and a way to extract the light and dark within them. The entire process took a large amount of time but when she was finally finished she had the two vessels – Hikari and Kurai – one of light and one of darkness. What ensued next were several stages: influencing the vessels, gathering the hearts, balancing out light and darkness, and inserting the elements into the hearts of the shells themselves. The girl would venture out and target some of the strongest individuals as well as some of the weakest: destroying anything in her path and capturing their hearts one by one. Soon enough the massive traces of power within the universe were gone. Some of the most powerful had seemingly disappeared until soon enough barely anyone was left alive. A few Nobodies may have been born from the slaughter but it was clear that ultimately it had devastated the universe – leaving few lives present. All the while she kept the two beings isolated; teaching them respectively of the dangers of other elements and appearing as a protector of them. Finally when the process was complete the two beings were matched at an equal and overwhelming power; light and darkness. It was finally time for them to clash.
She arranged the pieces on the chessboard – sending them to the Keyblade Graveyard and dropping into the shadows to watch it all play out. Just as expected the two beings would sense the intensity of the elements within each other and, convinced they were enemies, would begin battle in an attempt to annihilate each other. By the end of it neither could succeed; the two eventually merging and becoming one just as expected. Their minds and bodies blended; Hikari's own making up most of the consciousness whereas Kurai made up most of the subconscious. In their hand was the key to bringing him back and perhaps even discarding this worthless universe.
The girl emerged from the shadows and immediately attempted to take it by force with the power of her benefactor. However, she had underestimated the vessel as well as its loyalty to her. It seemed troubled by fighting against her but none the less it defended itself and through the power of the x-blade as well as the light and darkness within them would bring her to her knees. Tears streamed down the girl's face as she reached out – attempting to defeat the vessel. The magic around her faded -- revealing the darkness that rested within her; overwhelming raw darkness. And with a heavy heart the being killed the closest thing to a mother it ever had.
The being wasn't sure what to do now but it seemed clear that both desired to be separated; raised to hate each other respectively. They didn't want to join Kingdom Hearts though and most individuals were gone now alas. For a moment it was unsure of what to do. Then it noticed it -- the power of the weapon it held in its hand. It could find a new vessel; a new home away from all of this where it could rest in peace. Without hesitation it would unlock itself – separating and releasing the two hearts. Just at the moment the world around it began to dissolve and fade away; it unlocking the barriers between realities just long enough for the light and darkness to travel into new universes before the body became an empty vessel once more; it migrating alongside the rest of the universe – swallowed up by Fate's Shadow. Where the darkness went is irrelevant. However, the light would reach out to a young boy within the reality it arrived in; tethering itself to him. Two hearts would remain within the child now. This child, Hikari, would lead a normal life as the heir to the throne and would eventually become King of Disney Town after his father's death – unaware of the heart within him that was the source of much of his power and experience; his only knowledge of it being through the memories the heart held. And as far as he was concerned, those were nothing but dreams.
Hikari would thus slumber within the child of the same name; sorrowfully remembering in his sleep the days before his master betrayed him and brought an end to the carefree days of old. His host, meanwhile, prepares for what he believes will be a coming storm -- nearly all world leaders except for him and some others having fallen recently.
Other Notes: King of Disney Town.
