A Search to Begin Searching (Private)

While exploring the area around the Imperial City, one of the routes that Zyvonia took was in the mountains. On a path, she found a dying traveler, aged and withering. He happened upon some malicious creatures of Darkness and fell to them. With his dying breaths, he told the Empress of the journey he had been. He heard of stories of an object of immeasurable power that allows the wielder the ability to accomplish anything their heart desires. It was simply known to him as the "Catalyst". Having a taste for adventure and having a large degree of greed, he started his journey. He traveled to various different worlds in search of this object, or any information about it. All he found was what appeared to be a map on an old piece of parchment, with words written in a language he couldn't recognize. The dying traveler gave the map to Zyv, saying that he wanted that treasure to be found by somebody, even if it wasn't him.

Zyv prepared a burial for the man in the mountains. Though it wasn't a proper one, it was all she could do for a stranger she had just met. She returned to the Imperial City and started to prepare. Gathering the supplies necessary was easy, considering her position. She informed the council of the adventure she was about to embark and informed them that she needed a companion. Somebody who could aide her. Unlike the traveler, she didn't want to end up dying on the side of the road, alone. While hesitant to allow her, they knew she would leave regardless and started bringing in soldiers from the army. None were up to her standards, though. They were strong, yes, but they did not know of the outside worlds or the held the powers of the people that did know. So she made an announcement. Somebody, anybody who she deemed worthy to go on this journey would be rewarded greatly if they succeeded. Everyday, at noon, she interview anybody who wanted the reward.

A week passed since the request and not one person who was an actual warrior came. Ambitious youths and experienced soldiers both came, but none were anything more than average and normal. Zyv sat on her throne, crossed legged with a bored expression on her face. It was about an hour after noon and nobody showed up. How annoying. The thought of having to cancel this journey so early into it pissed her off. She didn't like quitting. She may just have to go by herself or perhaps look other places.

"Well this seems to be the place, gee who woulda thought a usual ice trip would lead to this!" Veara spoke outloud while being escorted to the throne room by the two guard that were in the front guarding the palace gates. Veara came to this place with the intentions of simply getting ice for his ice cream the mountains of the Land of Dragons were great for to pick up ice and since the cold never bothered him anyway, he was fine with heading up there all his lonesome an picking up the ice. Dressed in his usual garb with his space bag on his back and hood covering his mop of blonde hair he traveled forward with the guards.

When they approached the throne room they opened the doors and Veara looked around the room whistling a loud whistle. "Faaaaaaaancy digs." He spoke while the guards had him step up before the throne. While the two guards bowed before the Queen, Veara simply looked around confused and a small smile on his face. When they stood back up, he looked up towards the queen throne and waved a couple times to her. "Hiya, my name is Veara! I came here for Ice and instead some people told me you were looking for capable people for a mission of some sorts. So I'm here to take the mission!" Veara spoke punching his chest and looking towards her with a large smile on his face.

As Zyv thought about calling it a day and going on one of her infamous trips, the guards brought somebody in. He had blond hair and green eyes, something that was relatively uncommon around here. He introduced himself, talking in a rather careless way. Apparently, this guy was looking for ice and decided to take on a mission he had heard about. He was either brimming with confidence or an idiot. Zyv had a principle about not underestimating people, so for now, she was assuming the former.

"You don't seem to be from around here, Veara," Zyv said. "Where exactly are you from?"

Veara looked up towards Zyvonia when she said that he didn't seem to be from around here, and after Veara looked around for a moment she had a point. Veara looked like absolutely none of them that were currently in the palace empress throne room. Veara simply nodded to her still looking up as he put his hands behind his head. "Well you are definitely right I'm not from this world, I'm from the Destiny Island's, I'm not sure about the details of this mission, but I know there's a chance to help my home out. So in which case I'd figured I could possibly be the guy that helps you out, apparently you've been looking for a little while now so I figured I'd come try out." Veara spoke in a genuine voice though after he was finished speaking. Veara couldn't help but wonder, nothing he said really proved why he would be a good pick...nah! That totally was enough.

Veara verified her suspicions. He was from another world. Zyv was as well, but Land of Dragons was the second world she has visited or even knew of, another reason why she didn't want to go by herself on this journey. She knew nothing of the worlds and she didn't want to get lost or stranded somewhere. She wanted a guide. A capable guide. That was who she was calling for and so far, this guy seemed to finally be able to fit the bill. He came to this world just to get ice and mentioned being from a different world so casually. It was clear that he was used to traveling between worlds.

"I recently discovered an item, known as the Catalyst, that grants anybody who wields it amazing and unimaginable power. That's all I know about it, and I want to go on a journey searching for it. I have a map, though I don't know how to read it," Zyv told the man. "Surely something so great will have challenges blocking the way. It's going to be dangerous. Are you okay with this?"

Listening to her talk Veara couldn't help but simply nod at every point that she made however he also couldn't help that notice that this "Catalyst" seemed to be a big time prize....however, if it was that big then maybe perhaps maybe he wouldn't be enough for them too have success. "That sounds amazing, however, the two of us no matter how capable we are we'd probably get out butt kicks and die halfway there. Which is why I believe we should create a party, ya know like a group of people each one with different talents that we'd be able to all cooperate and come together to obtain this 'catalyst' of sorts." Veara spoke putting a hand up to his chin and thinking, while he spoke...a party would be the best option...if it was him by his lonesome he could probably do all this on his own, but company was always nice. Plus, there may puzzles that needed the brains of someone wiser and that simply couldn't be smashed through.

Zyv grinned. He seemed confident, but he seemed to also recognize the risks. He was the right companion for sure. However, there was a problem with his suggestion.

"I agree, though I unfortunately do not have the means to gather any more people. I don't have any knowledge of the other worlds other than that they exist and you are the first of many who actually come from an outside world," she said. "Would you happen to have any in mind for this?"

"Well if we're looking for people, they'd need to have a set of talents based upon different things...I GOT IT!" Veara screamed out even surprising himself, the room echoing with his voice and how loud he shouted. Veara quickly put his hands up to the back of his head and nervously laughed for a moment. "Sorry got a little excited, but why don't we head to Radiant Garden that place is always filled with all sorts of different people and things, let's head there! Plus I know of one! She's really short, but she's adorable and plus she has acrobatic skill and seems to be really intelligent she could totally help us!" Veara spoke speaking his mind completely, but he was right she could totally help them out. True they would need her 'queens' say so first, but they could definitely use her help. An who knows maybe they find others there that could help.

"Sure, let's go."

And Zyv went off with the strange man.
