Personality: Samwise aka Copper is a boy who enjoys the wonders of the unknown. He is a fan of puzzles and riddles as well as trying to learn the inner workings of the most inhuman things. He enjoys stories and books as well as putting a smile on the faces of children. He favors the idea of the art of illusion for the simple fact that the most simple things become wonders and miracles. Trickery is used to put those who view in awe and allow them to enjoy what they see. Sam enjoys challenging himself, however he is very wary of strangers.

His curiosity is countered only by the caution of aging wisdom. This caution persuades him to use his ways of manipulation and illusion to get what he wants without endangering himself. Samwise is a romantic person, and as such can be very cheesy about his relationships. As a younger person, Sam has yet to learn the proper way to handle the civilizations around him, however he much prefers the role of a happy distraction rather than sentinel or erratic terrorist. He prefers not to make the important decisions as well as being more of a follower. He is a bit of a clepto at times, as well as having his own angry side. However, for the most part he is a kind-hearted trickster.

History: Samwise was born as a commoner whom did not know the happiness that often came to normal children. He had to create his own, and unlike those who lay in their own hovel, he allowed himself to grow from hardship. However, roads are often not as a smooth as one would desire. Besides being raised in Cite de la Cloches with gypsies, he was also often seen as a bastard because of the nature of his parents. One being gypsy, his mother, and the other being a soldier father. It wasn’t even forced, the two truly loved each other until the pregnancy happened. Not being ready to accept a child, the soldier disowned his beloved and hid away until she let go of him.

Samwise himself was a savant at magic, like the people around him. He grew to become a trickster of sorts, using his ability to steal food and drink from the unwary. In his free time, he’d make illusions to occupy him as he was alone. The gypsies hated him for having the blood of the white devil and the upper crust of society hated him for having gypsy blood. Naturally, he was quite the musician along with his plethora of magical abilities. As he grew, the amount of oppression he received faded away in his mind.

Eventually, he stopped caring and donned a costume to hide his gypsy appearance in order to please the kids of Cite de la Cloches with his bard music. His mother was tempted by an adventurer to leave the oppressive world, so he agreed to follow her to Twilight Town where happiness was truly accepted. And throughout his last few years until present, he would continued painting gold onto the rot, because he’s able to move past it. Sometimes, he sees himself as a lighthouse at night, but how bright he really was is only based on perception. He didn’t really care about other’s perceptions, his own told him he lit up the entire sea in the thickest of fogs.
