Personality:

Kouketsu is generally quite pleasant with others unless provoked. He likes to put up that face of pleasantry to hide his true feelings. When fighting, his true self surfaces. He becomes extremely serious and calculating, always looking for an opening all the while keeping you on your toes by being in your face at all times. He's quick and likes to be efficient. Outside of battle, he's optimistic and reassuring. Keeping everyone in a positive mood and cracking jokes to keep the tensions at an all time low. e doesn't react well with people who feel entitled to things they don't necessarily need to have. If you're just in general a nasty person, he's not going to be real fond of you. He treats his weapon like it's an extension of his life and soul. His movements are agile and graceful, without error. He shares some personality traits when he changes though, his humor doesn't seem to let up, often times making jeers at opponents. However, the humor's type may change. The jokes may seem a bit more hostile then when he's not so serious. The reason for this change is for incidents in his past and time in the Land Of Dragons, his hometown. Several different fights and skirmishes broke out, politics and small wars for control. He was at the center of a lot of it, as most Samurai are in the Land of Dragons.

Appearance:


Kouketsu has scarlet hair that flows all the way down to his waste. It's tied off into a pony tail to keep the hair from swaying about in combat and being too troublesome. His eyes are a deep blue which contrasts to the red hair and robe with a scar in the shape of an X on his left cheek as well. As mentioned previously, his robes are red with a white outline, his pants being white as well and fairy baggy to allow maximum movement. A white sash separates both the robe and the pants and keeps the pants in place. He wears wooden sandals on his feet and carries a sword at his hip to top it all off.

History:

Kouketsu was raised in the ways of the Samurai, however not exactly in the purest form. He doesn't exactly know how to implicate the ways of Bushido into his fighting style for the simple fact that Samurai when he was younger were not exactly honorable. They assassinated political figures, fought in the streets of cities, fought the police forces. There were of course those that served for a noble cause but there was always corruption in some shape or form. At an early age, he started to experiment with his imagination and soon found that he had the ability to manipulate certain elements at his command. At this age it just started out as parlor tricks, but once others noticed his affinity with the elements, he was taught to become a Samurai that used those powers in conjunction with swordplay. He moved from dojo to dojo learning several different forms of Kenjutsu yet never really preferred a single form. He felt his instincts were a much better talent, however the techniques regarding the handling of his weapon were not disregarded. The reason his instincts were so great was for the simple fact that he could also manipulate time, a very strong element that could change the tides of a fight in an instant. Kouketsu's parents were proud that he found something he had a passion for but never really knew what exactly he used those skills for.

The young boy as a teenager was as good as any other swordsman older than him, maybe even better. His usual wandering from teacher to teacher landed him with a group of assassins that were fighting for a good cause, yet used anything to get what they wanted to include Kouketsu. He was taught Guerrilla Warfare, a from of ambush where you struck your opponents and left as fast as you came. Everything he was taught was about speed, agility, and stealth. Kouketsu loved such a life until they used him for his swordsmanship. Usually his jobs were merely minuscule like being a lookout. However, he was then put into the field battle. He refused such violence and bloodshed but was forced to stay. They threatened to murder his family and any of the teachers he came into contact with. Now Kouketsu was a good fighter, but not good enough to save multiple people at once. He could only defend himself not anyone else. This realization sent him down the dark path of becoming a slayer of man.

Soon enough the young boy became a young man. His skills honed in the arts of assassination and Guerrilla Warfare allowed him to put together people inside the group whom did not approve of such violent tactics the group used and flip it on them. A civil war inside the group broke out, and blood would spill the streets. This period in the Land of Dragons was bloody, and morality was at an all time low. There was already fighting for control over the world but now more fighting within the group trying to take over the current government. The government used this opportunity to contact Kouketsu, whom was now fairly renowned for his skills as a Samurai. The government promised the group's much more violent side would be eradicated and Kouketsu's parents would be kept safe. Kouketsu agreed and he became a tool for the government. He killed those he once knew and helped to overthrow the very thing he now stood behind. Every operation he undertook was successful. Soon the group would disband and his parents were protected as promised. However, Kouketsu was through with the constant bloodshed and wished to return home to his parents but the government did what the disbanded group tried as well. Held his parents as hostages to keep him under their service.

Kouketsu would work for them for a little bit after this incident, but refused to work any longer. He remembered exactly why he chose to fight them in the first place and decided to stage his own death. With the powers of time itself he would make it seem like he died at the hands of the government who would then free his parents from containment and notify them of their son's service to the government. He publicy berated the government to gain their attention and then allowed himself to get cornered at a nearby river he knew he couldn't pass over. He pretended to take several cuts and slashes from the opposing samurai and with a final blow close to the shore of the river and fell in. He would never return to his parents and never show his face in the streets where he once fought in again. But he will return...
