Hunting (Quest, Open)

October 5th about 4 or so in the afternoon?  Yup so far the time matched according to all the clocks in this place or at least as far as Lenny could tell looking at the place. Everything seemed a little run down just by taking a little tour of this place before he meet with his contact, recently one of his spies had informed Lenny of a strong force that had taken residence in this world, a large heartless of sizable power or at least that is what the locals rumored about. It was always hard to trust the words of the madness that was humanity, often they be scared to death of things like 8 legged bugs or legless reptiles silly humans.    

Ah will least that had their uses, 50% of the population more so then the rest of them. Walking along the dark prince slowly moved fingers across the map he had acquired from this contact who had informed him of this strange beast lurking along the outskirts of town. It seemed  have a quite the bounty on its head for simply living out there, luring away a few dozen other adventures aiming to ride it like a wild animal, for some reason like in the way of merchant roads or something, couldn’t just go around apparently but whatever it might prove entertaining.

It be a change from work at least and this world was easy on the eyes, hopefully these fine brown pants and white trimmed edges were the right choice for this kind of world, Lenneth looked like fantasy woods man or at least trying to duplicate that style from the fairy tail books he’s read. Though the blonde here was throwing off the look. Oh well he was striking enough to mask the imperfections of his cosplay, made a good looking human pray.

Pausing near the gates looking on to a softly dense forest out there a thought crossed Lenny’s head, did this town even know what a real heartless was? Or was this some simple monster that they mistake it for by outworlders like him. It seemed strange for his kin to stay in one place not hunting for hearts while out and about the realm of light, then again something could be commanding it to stay put…ahh too much thinking. Holding his head tightly to ease the pain Lenny really needed to stop over thinking everything and just follow his adventuring voice.

Exploring felt more like a pleasantly little stroll for Lenny despite being on a mission of minimal pressure, he could have honestly sent someone to do this but it seemed pretty easy and he needed something to take his mind off stuff. Touching across the trees felt like the first time Len had entered the realm so different from the softer shades of moon, the sun here rain down main different colors everywhere. Air felt very nice and warm here too, like an oven surrounding the entire planet turned on a bit higher then the medium setting.

Over the hill, past a step drop down the cliff Lenny was entering quickly entering the area that was supposed to house the lonesome heartless that he needed to hunt, the strange rather large beast that had made its home in this one area for some reason. It was an place with much more tresses gathered side by side to another, even the sun’s could find its rays drowning in the number of breaches and leafs but it was still a far cry from an actually dark forest.

Crossing through Len’s face twitched in discomfort as he allowed himself to open up to this world, it still ricked of light there could be no hiding it and the forest life weren’t acting weird for the looks of it. A little squirrel just looked at him with a small piece of an acorn in its mouth chewing it on loudly, didn’t seemed scared of anything.

Walking a while later nothing outside the fairy tale setting for the most part with a lot more muds and soft walking surface, lenny nearly tripped over a log. But all was not what it seemed as a hidden threat quickly loomed over leaping from the tree tops while looking down towards its next pray walking by itself. Len didn’t waver in is little stroll keeping what he knew to himself while making himself seem like he was being hunted.

“That’s it…I know your where, you can’t hide that heart that well…” thinking to himself

It was just silence as the animals all hide away, fearfully of what was to coming from the two monsters ready to tackled the other down. Breaking the silence the beast took it chance and sored through the skies as to dove furiously at the human like creature. A second later the distance between the two nearly vanished, appearing it its place was the sharp claws of the wild heartless aiming to slice the dark prince through. Len however simply moved as nothing just until he could basically feel its breath on his neck, quickly reacting he dropped down on his knees donkey kicked the enemy in the face and using it as a surface to flip himself away. Landing across his pray while the dark thorn twisted and rolled along the dirt before getting back its legs screaming at Lenny for attack, nodding a shaking as it balance slightly was uneven from the blow.

“Get ready”

“Now what are you doing all the way here by yourself? Care to share while yourself still yourself?”

The dark thorn remained silent while it faced its prince, simply twitching and showcasing emotional reflection of its state of darkness that only other heartless could understand. It still closed itself off to Len’s influence though he wasn’t forcing it on it just yet, he wanted to insure that his people while singled minded he still believed they could have their free will to act as they pleased. But it didn’t feel like it was its own drive but it was still a strong heartless that needed to be brought under order.    

Lenny quickly summoned his weapons to his hands and feet, gripping the nice blue shine of their metal along his fingertips before kissing them. Aiming his strikes they would come fast and precise while he soared through the air between them the two heartless from a might leap forward. Lenny first lead with a jab across the dark thorn’s face before it dodging out of the way only then to meet a back hand of left fist before Len kicked off with the power of a gunshot and punching a decent wound in the beast. The wild heartless screamed at the dark prince with its pain and deep veracity, shattering the air violent with its shriek aiming his frustration rightfully so.

“Willing to open yet? I’d rather you listen and not have me force you back home with me”

The beast shrugged off as it quickly dashed forward at the charm lord howling with its teeth bearing them wide while gasping at its foe’s flesh. Side stepping to the left Lenny turned inward while grabbing at the thorn’s claws, pulling at its claws while spinning around using its weight. Quickly twisting around and around Len sent the beast flying into the high roof tops of the canopies. The dark thorn twirled in pain and discomfort before it readjusted itself. It clawed one of nearest tree slashing around its thick trunk cutting right through it then throwing it down.

Standing his ground Lenneth jabbed at wood, shattering it to bits while holding his gun then taking by surprise as the dark thorn quick approached. Hey quickly met with the monster’s giant attack slashing at him while raising his guns in defense. Pushing him back rolling to the ground before he run back up and slamming a dozen shots down its throat.  The dark beast moved with quick graceful steps leading itself away from the bullets before jumping back towards the mighty one, summoning a strange power as the floor went black and several strange balls of energies floated around and striking down at Len.

Taking quick action and aim Lenneth shot down many of the spheres as they flew at him quickly, one shot one down several dozen stilling coming at him. He moved with such grace stepping and curving his direction around dancing in hypnotic motions while firing his volleys, seeing the his foe skirt at he edge of his vision trying to hide in the cover of the trees.  They too looked rather ominous colored different then as far as his memory recalled. True to his instincts proving him right the trees quickly took on a life of their own quick to strike down and plunge their strength at Lenneth’s sides. Conjuring two large arms from the darkness below the La Vaeas command them to hold down the trees as their attacks nearly graced his soft flawless skin but a third one took him by surprise knocking him upward in a painfully spin into the skies. The dark thorn then appeared right behind him with its mighty jaws open ready to crunch down on some royalty.      

Acting fast Lenneth air dogged around only meeting the skin of his forearm scrapping blood before wrapping his arms on the thorn’s nap, straddling up the poor creature before firing countless more shots down the back of its head. The both descended from the great heights revolving vertically downward while Len kept shooting into it. And just before the hit the earth Lenny jumped off throwing the monster down first before stylishly landing on its mid back, with both guns strapped to the back of his heel firing two last shots while it bared to strain of our hero’s great strength.

Fully finished the dark beast lost its consciousness as its body went limp. Lenny stood there on top of it, sadistically smiling with such an upbeat air to his fangs.

“We’ll need to train you a little more but for now…see you at home” finishing his breath Lenneth crushed the dark thorn’s body with one last stomp and causing its darkness to separate into particles that faded back home and even freed it from whatever was controlling it here. Shaking his head Lenneth conjured his weapons away before strutting back to town for his reward. Was good to keep up appearances for known bounty hunter Sitri, Len’s creative persona for traveling around the light. In the end though he got his lost puppy home ready to service again for its proper realm.

Left behind by the fading Heartless, Lenneth would have discovered a weathered scrap of paper, one he could choose to pick up or ignore. At the top of the page was a silver symbol of a heart and beneath it were the faded words "3rd Report". Although some of the words were faded, the small passage was still readable.

"Today, I encountered a terrifying creature. Formed of obsidian and eyes of gold, they are the true manifestations of darkness. Entirely devoid of emotion, and seeking only to devour the hearts of others, they have been dubbed a fitting name, the Heartless. Like a plague, these monsters infect the world’s heart through a magical gateway called a Keyhole. It is from here that the darkness takes hold, consuming everything until there is nothing left. It is my duty to destroy these fiends, and to prevent them from finding the Keyholes. They fear the Keyblade, their ultimate demise, and yet, they follow me wherever I may go. My heart is what they truly desire, a very unsettling thought."

Taking notice of the piece of paper Lenny walked back towards the impact site, picking it up as soon as he good to read it. Such a mysterious magic to leave behind evidence like this much like the ones found in the castle of white closest to the nothingness Len had encountered a few months back. Now reading this…shit…his anger escalated as each word passed through his sights. Keybladers, the pride of and prejudice of the realm of light and just monstrous monstrous insight into their very beings. Clutching his fist and gathering the darkness he turned around and threw such a blast of magic in a rage that it cut through much of the forest to the far edge into the plains and still causing untold devastation of the land.

Such creatures that he had witnessed time and time again where hoped was his own friend in them. Time and time again his had to see them hunt them down at the stake burning their every fiber for the gift of existence. His had to call them neighbours while keeping worlds apart unless he really needed that sugar. Such misguided wrath that only turned on them as something different. Soon if all went well the only thing they could target their eternal hatred was at themselves, the heartless would be free of discrimination. Taking the paper Lenneth went on to his marry way.
