A maleficent time (Open)

The dark elf felt as if the presence was shifting, watching him like some kind of caged animal (which Malazon wasn't far off from). Before, he knew the importance of keeping his hunger in check. It was what held him above the more common of his kind, and he had done so with flair. It was that control that allowed him the luxury of playing with his food, torturing his prey to the brink of insanity. It was a fact that Faye knew first hand, leaving scars physically and emotionally that never completely healed.

When the La Vaeas mentioned holding onto to himself, a sudden burst of anger struck him. "Hate!" he snarled, saliva dripping from his lips. It was that emotion and it alone that had kept him from going completely insane from hunger. Obiousvley that was debateable. "My immortal hatred for this world and all its denizens is the only thing that I need. Take over this world, brother! Erase its pitful existence from the stars... A beautiful victory for the dark." his last few words were much calmer as the faint sensations of devouring a heart filled him. It was probably nothing more than a 'sugar substitute' but it was the first time he had felt relief in years.

Lenneth's motions slowed down into a crawl while he floated around perplexed still at this location that surrounded them. Where this place was the fairy queen certainly did not want it to be known lost in this vortex of magics. And being quite honest a lot more effort then the prize that Lenny could hope to earn regarding the black beast that lay in slavery to his gluttony, a sin which the La Vaeas could not condole.

He stared down this monster in a crimson glow that slowly started to dim with disappointment and fading interest. This was not a solider that could be relied on or someone that Len could consider to be on his side when the time called for it. And worst of all this demon's influence would only spread the fires of the keys to his door steps if fanned enough.

Shaking his head or whatever the equivalent of it was in his incorporeal form as he lowered himself to the floor.

“No brother that is your Desire, something that shapes you to who you are but not me”

With that in mind Lenneth's shadowy consciousness sparked in magical motion, dancing along his darkness before travelling down around Malazon. Covering the room in chocking royal purples that would soon vanish just as suddenly as appearing. Its effects would only be defined by what the captured dark elf would wish them to be, to sooth his form maybe? Or grant him the power to grasp his desires.

“But if your Hatered for this world is truly all you desire then you should be the one to take a hold of it. Letting this or rather any experiences make you stronger then what you were and become what you are. In time nothing shall hold you down if you so keep your desire strong”

No desire to take this world for his own? Malazon, being in his weakened state was being uncharacteristically generous in giving Lenneth his blessing to destroy the Enchanted Dominion himself, and so it baffled the dark elf that he would deny the notion. What kind of Heartless did not jump at the oppurtunity to unleashed havoc upon a world? None that Malazon could think of. The thought of one against conquearing the realm of light was beyond him. He did not suspect anythign close to that of La Vaeas. To him, such a belief was impossible for the creatures of the dark. Since his birth, Malazon had been enslaved to his hunger as any other common shadow. As a seeker, he was more sophisticated than the common Heartless, but his agenda barely differed from them either. There was a higher power above him, pushing him along even if he did not realize it.

Malazon curled back in on himself as the violet light appeared, the dark ball of his current form growing smaller in size. Partly from the disgusting reminder of the queen's color of magic, but also to contemplate this brother's intent. There was a subtle change when the purples faded. Malazon for a split moment felt as if a taste of his power had returned to him, or perhaps simply the ability to gather his strength again without constantly being drained. He would discover in time. For a moment, the elf was was silent, before finally replying. "How considerate." he replied, honestly though there was a hint of sarcasm to his words. Mostly because he was still trying to figure out why Len said no to taking his wish. "A most unexpected response." he grew quiet again, a few minutes ticking by. "What do you want, La Vaeas? I have shared my desires. What are yours?"

The dark elf seemed to enjoy Lenneth's gift or at least noticing it for the first time, he would notice the effects quite a bit as the hours ticked away in his eternal life which in truth the dark king hoped his younger brother here would not spend in the rest of his days in this infernal prison. Maybe in time he would find his place or some purpose outside of his entrapping desire to hunt hearts and kill. If not it was then at least Malz made his choice and followed through. Where it took this man would be up to the fates and at the very least cause this world some trouble and take its attention away from the rest of them.


His form would soon fade away, breaking apart from the sense of sight with the darkness lifting off into back into its natural state while the seeker of enchanter domain's demise question the seeker's of desire's generosity. A fair question, floating just outside of sight Lenny would press this one answer before fading away to home body, this conversation already had the seeds of his influence to bloom into a weed of catastrophe or an enlightened flower.


“Darkness dear Brother. I wish to be Truth Darkness. Untainted by the light's burning deadly Sins. And while I bear mine own sin with power and acceptance I seek that which lays in the deepest of black, something no radiance will destroy”


With that parting word the dark king faded off his conscious mind back to his perfect dark shell. Finding himself exactly where he laid on the bed holding a dark shadow like a pet cuddling up to his side like a good watch dog. Standing up the dark lord opened his windowed and admire the night sky, reminiscence about their home. Malazon would be his test subject while this world would be the controlled variable, remaining here for a few more days to see the shift in balance for himself even if it was slight. Then leaving his mark here to further watch this place react to the light's sin in recording magics.

Malazon was left with much to ponder on when his fellow seeker departed. The true darkness. Perhaps it was a source of darkness so sinister and corrupted that not even the light could cut through the black. That was a power he would be very interested in finding, but alas he knew his true duty to his siblings and that was discovering the keyhole. It was the only way to submerge to world into darkness beyond redemption. Before, he had had no luck in finding it, and honestly, he had become more than a little distracted pitting the humans against one another in a sadistic game of chess.

The Heartless Lord's thoughts grew quiet as he took time to rest. Communicating with his brother had been taxing and he need to regain his strength... and perhaps it would be far more than what he was expecting.

When morning came, the queen of the Enchanted Dominion awoke with a throbbing headache, one so bad she swore she could see stars. Damnit... she cradled her head in her hands. It wasn't often that she had such problems, but when she did, she could almost always connect it to Malazon. How active was he last night? It feels as if he tried his best to claw his way into my thoughts. she groaned as she stood up, walking over to her vanity and checking out her appearance. "By the Light." she grumbled, pulling down the lower lid of her left eye. They were bloodshot as if she hadn't gotten a wink of sleep and faint with dark circles.  

The sorceress took a potion to help ease the migraine and then fell into her regular morning routine. She used a little more makeup than usual to cover the shadows under her eyes and put on a comfortable morning dress to have breakfast. "Are you pleased with yourself?" she sneered, slipping her elegant glove over her severely burn scarred arms. There was no response, it was rare that he ever did, but she felt a sense of pride come over her once the words left her mouth, and it was definitely not her own. Sighing, she woke her tiny pink dragon companion, Wysteria, from her sleep and her cat sized friend perched herself up on the queen's shoulder as usual. "Let us not keep Xander waiting. I am sure he is as eager to see what Genevieve has prepared for breakfast as much as we are." the fairy dragon trilled in response, and they left the royal chamber.
