say it for me
if it's worth savin' me
One, two, three, BZZT! One, two, three, Bz-BZZT!

On and on like steps in rhythm an echo filled the void that was silence. Upon the mountain side winding so endlessly from Spring's grace to Winter's bitter brace. Animals scurried across the earthen path as each shot carried like a voice over a speaker. Such was the power of nature's acoustics. Loud when you wanted, not enough when you needed. Pick and choose as it was the effects were something to marvel. Each pull of the trigger complimented by the crisp satisfaction of a Crack and a following BZZT!. Though loud, too perfect to the ears with the right company. Each recoil shot a jolt of adrenaline through the system. A warm tingly sensation which as it hit each nerve brought delight to the beholder.

Nestled on his stomach, ground at his support and the wind in his short hair. Goggles on his face to protect from the rocks and the dirt as he readied his firearm with steady precision. In the distance a foreign creature scurrying about in pack. Bodies short and stubby. Ink black and almost viscous as ink in some manners. They crowded in place teeming in reckless behavior, kicking up the land and tearing through the vegetation. Overall destructing the place to their little tiny contents. They were undoubtedly unlike any wildlife to roam the place. A first in the man's blue hues as he peered through the scope. His hands lining a shot on the closest one as his finger itched upon the trigger.

Far from animal activist by any means, there was still concern for the world itself. Should he let the weird creatures go, who knows what other kind of trouble they would produce. That in mind he was far from sympathetic for what he was about to do. Besides, regardless of playing the cleaning crew. There was no harm in a little hunt for sport now and then. Thus was the circle of life. Born, Live, Die, Repeat. Dark as it was, thus was the fate of animals and humans alike.

Positioned behind a set of low rising boulders. Seb was set to make a move. Assured in his skills he took a deep breathe in. Then all at one let it go, his finger applying pressure and before he could blink the motion was carried. Out like a miniature cannon his gun fired without resistance. A bolt of electrical energy streaming from the barrel and straight the nearest shadow. Before there was reaction it's mark would hit. The poor thing being knocked into the air and before long dissipating from the existent plain all together.

Celebrating under his breathe, the energy dispersed upon hitting it's target. The remainder of the pack looking at one another in sudden confusion. It didn't take them much thought to look in the direction of where it had come but merely did they stand there. Aimlessly pondering whether they were meant to follow after the source or flee for freedom. Soon enough, their drive would guide them. Some sinking into the ground rain into a puddle. While others charged forward as faster and as hard as their little legs would carry them. Confident he would be able to counter what was coming. Seb merely cocked the gun and readied his next shot.

Little would he realize the trouble with shadows.
