A busy, busy day!

That's what Gilgamesh had been having.

Ever since being thrown into this world after a hammerspace mishap, Gilgamesh had been scouring the worlds, looking for his lost treasures. And, the materials needed to fix the ones he did find. If he weren't able to travel the Rift at will, now, it'd be a nigh-impossible task. Not to mention he was looking for a place to set up Gilgamesh, Inc. It'd give him capital and connections, so he could actually get things done in this strange universe.

And maybe find out about these "key blades", whatever those were.

The Rift around this world was dangerous, moreso than usual. Little blobs of shadows, which he understood were called Heartless, seemed to call the Rift home. So, understandably, he didn't much like coming to this place. However, he couldn't help but notice... Something new, here. ...It looked like a person... ...With a REALLY shoddy Greatsword. And some of those Heartless things.

Welp. Hero Mode engaged.

The Swordmaster broke into a run, the Holy Lance manifesting in his hands, which, pausing his stride for only a moment, he hurled like a javelin at the shadow-creatures. The beast, itself managed to avoid the sacred polearm. No matter. As Gilgamesh closed on the creature, he had an answer to that, too.

The King's Blade manifested in his hands. He took a leap, sending himself sailing at the shadows. With a loud cry, Gilgamesh brought Excalibur down, with both hands, onto the little bugger. Although weakened, the sacred power of the blade, with Gil's strength behind it, easily bifurcated the beast, reducing it to the shadows from whence it came. Brandishing the Excalibur in one hand, now, he drew the Holy Lance from the ground with is now-free left hand.

'Don't relax yet!" He cried out, still not sure there weren't move of the fiends around.

Watching the creatures bearing down upon her with a careful eye, she allowed the tip of the blade to rest on the ground in front of her, angled forwards. This pose, while not the most effective by any means, was meant normally to feign weariness, and still gave her room to parry most strikes. Before she could see if it was effective in baiting a strike, an object hurled into view, and one of the five creatures leapt out of the way. It appeared to be a sizable javelin or spear of sorts. She hadn't the time to attempt to identify more about the weapon, for as soon as she saw it a scream of sorts came from behind. Unsure if this voice was hostile, she rolled to the side, finding it difficult to come up from with such a massive blade in tow. When she did get up a second later, her focus was placed squarely on the new figure that appeared. It seemed that the man cleaved one of the creatures in twain, and left the remainder scattered into their own erratically moving puddles of shadow. The man then proceeded to grasp the lance, which she presumed was his.
"Identif-crap!"
Was all she could get out before she'd noticed a shadow leap from the ground and attempt to claw at her legs. As she finished uttering "Crap" the blade moved to contact the creature's claws, with the tip angled in front of her as before, knocking them away from her person. She then took the time to uppercut the creature with the tip of her blade, as it was somewhat disoriented from the prior parry. This launched it upwards into the air, and gave her time for a new strike. As the blade sailed overhead, she watched the creature carefully for openings, all it did was twitch and flail, it wouldn't be able to block. After halting the momentum from the strike, she spun around counter-clockwise to gain momentum. Using the force of this swing, she batted (More like cleaved really) the creature, which disappeared from view. It was no time to celebrate, at least three more were lurking about....

Three more of these things!?!

Knowing he'd need every chance he could get, a second set of arms emerged from his back, letting him more effectively wield the Holy Lance. His now free hand took hold of Zantetsuken, spinning the blade in his hand before lunging at the creatures. Lightning arced off the curves of Zantetsuken as he leapt forward, slashing into one of the Heartless, the Scourged Excalibur coming down on the second one, the holy power sending it reeling.

Leaping up over the third Shadow, he spun, slamming the point of the Holy Lance into it, sending it flying toward the greatswordsman. A pretty good turn, if you asked him. However, as he landed, the electrified Heartless took a cheap shot, leaping up and clawing at his back. A third pair of hands emerged from under Gil's cloak, hands ablaze as they grabbed the small eldritch abomination.

"OW! You nasty little bugger, that HURT!"
